SUMMARY
- Super Bowl LVIII had a nail biting finale.
- F1 fans were not very cleat as to what was happening during the Super Bowl.
NFL fans just witnessed one of the most entertaining Super Bowls in NFL history. While they enjoyed the game, F1 fans were not as enthusiastic about the sport. While Football is a classic American Sport, F1 is more dominant in European countries. When people say Football in Europe, they assume it is Soccer.
F1 is currently on its winter break. This is the longest time fans have to sit without watching the cars on track. The last time fans saw the cars on track was during the 2023 season finale in Abu Dhabi which took place in November.
Super Bowl LVIII has Formula 1 fans itching for the season opener
The city of Las Vegas hosted one of the largest sporting events in the US last Sunday, the Super Bowl. The game was played between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. Neither of the 2 teams was able to come out on top after the 4 quarters. However, the Chiefs took the victory during overtime.
While NFL fans enjoyed this, F1 fans were left a bit clueless as to what was happening. Not all European F1 fans understand the rules of Football. This left them missing the F1 cars out on track.

The fans took to social media to express their envy towards Football fans who were enjoying their favorite sports. But this envy may not last for long. The F1 season is almost here. The cars will be back on track as soon as next weekend. This is set to be a very exciting season for Formula 1.
When is the action scheduled to start for F1 fans?
The season opener in Bahrain is scheduled to start on February 29th which will host the Practice sessions before the Grand Prix. However, we can see the cars out on track before that. On February 21st, the teams will take their challengers out on track for the pre-season testing. This will continue until the 23rd of February.
Just when fans feel that they will have to wait for another week before the season officially starts, season 6 of the Drive to Survive series will hit the internet with Netflix. The season will contain 10 episodes in total. This will give the fans enough content to fill the gap between pre-season testing and the season opener.

Although pre-season testing is still a week away, the drama of the sport has already begun. In the last few weeks, the F1 world has received tons of breaking news. When the 2023 season ended, fans did not expect much from the winter break as all the items were maintaining their driver lineup. However, no one anticipated what came.

The first breaking news to hit the F1 community was the departure of Gurnther Steiner, the team principal for Haas. This was followed by the announcement of the Madrid GP. Then came the news that Andretti Motorsport was rejected by F1 to enter the sport form 2026. After this, the biggest news of the decade surfaced.
After spending 11 years with Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton decided to leave the team and join their rivals, Ferrari. This created a lot of tremors in the motorsports world. But the season has not even started. There is no doubt that we will see a lot of action during this season.
