Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen is known for his brutal nature behind the wheel, his determination is the key element in his championship-winning success. But a recent video which featured Verstappen during a moment of light banter has sparked amusement among fans. The Dutchman seems to have an “all work and no play” attitude even during a lighthearted game of “Never Have I Ever”.
While his peers playfully participated in this game, Verstappen and his reactions caught the eye of many from the F1 community. Unlike the usual enthusiastic participation from other drivers, Verstappen appears entirely uninterested, perhaps even slightly annoyed by the game. The video cuts to a scene of the champion remains quite nonchalant amidst the laughter and animated responses from his peers.
Verstappen’s lack of interest in a fun game spotted by fans
Formula 1 revealed a video clip where the drivers on the grid were participating in the popular game of “Never Have I Ever”. Drivers like Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas were the most active participants in the game. However, the reigning champion was feeling a little out of place and fans could not help but notice that in their favorite driver.
A fan who goes by the username (@qudiq6914) wrote in the comments, “Max looks so excited to be here”. There were similar reactions all over the comment section, regarding Verstappen and his disinterest in the game. This glimpse into his seriousness, even during a supposed leisure activity, has sparked debate among fans.
The driver was spotted only twice in the entire video and stated, “I don’t think so” one time to one of the questions asked by the host.
Another fan (@OlixBillie) wrote, “Max is in his Kimi Raikkonen era”. This came in reference to the former Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen who is popularly known as the ‘Ice Man’. However, over the time, Verstappen has remained workaholic and has developed a personality which portrays him as a career driven man.
Max Verstappen evaluates Red Bull’s prospects in China
Formula 1 returns to the Shanghai International Circuit for the first time since 2019, with a twist. This Chinese Grand Prix presents a challenge for championship leader Max Verstappen and his Red Bull team. The weekend adopts the new sprint format for the first time in this new season. With just one practice session, teams have limited time to fine-tune their cars for the high-stakes weekend.
Should Verstappen win in China, then he will have won 50% of all F1 races since the last Chinese GP in 2019.
Wins since the last Chinese GP:

According to Verstappen, “We are looking forward to China as it is going to present a challenge ahead of us, especially with it being a Sprint weekend. As we have not raced at this track since 2019, and with the one practice session, it will be all about ensuring we have set the car up in the best way we can and managing our tires.”
Red Bull are one pole position away from becoming only the sixth team in F1 history to reach 100 pole positions. Both Verstappen and his teammate Sergio Perez have a shot at achieving this feat. For Verstappen, he seems to be ready for yet another win. If he clinches pole position, he will be the first driver since Mika Hakkinen in 1999 to secure the first five pole positions of the season.
