Timepieces come as one of the most desired partnerships for the Formula 1 grid, with the sport itself being associated with Geneva-based Rolex for decades now. Similarly, a handful of other luxurious watch companies have found themselves tied up with Formula 1 teams and subsequently using their respective drivers as the brand ambassador. One instance is Lewis Hamilton and one of Mercedes’ oldest sponsors, IWC Schaffhausen.
The seven-time world champion has been the face of the Swiss-based International watch company since his shocking move to Mercedes in 2013. And, of course, being the leading brand ambassador of such an extravagant timepiece company gifted him the opportunity to own quite an appealing watch collection.
Much like his on-track colleagues, Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen, Hamilton, too, flaunts unique watches to race weekends. In most cases, they are either newly unveiled or entirely personalized models. Take a look at some of Hamilton’s timepieces that could easily add up to millions of dollars.
IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar ‘Lewis Hamilton’ Edition IW503002
This stunning timepiece is primarily red but comes with gold-plated markings, including the hands, on the inside that blends well with the black zirconium ceramic case. As mentioned in the title, it also showcases a perpetual calendar function which also automatically adjusts for leap years.
What’s fascinating is there are only 100 pieces worldwide with each carrying a price tag of $57,450.
Lewis Hamilton IWC Black Lives Matter Ceratanium IW5030BLM
This all-black watch was exclusively designed to collaborate with Hamilton amid his desperate efforts to raise awareness during the early 2020s. The vastly modernized watch is extremely lightweight and durable, considering the case is entirely made out of titanium and ceramic.
The price remains unknown, as it appears that Hamilton is one of the fewest owners of this black watch that portrays a powerful message.
IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar IW503605
Unlike the ‘Lewis Hamilton’ edition which featured 18-carat gold, this watch portrays a beautiful blue dial with white/silver hands and markings on the inside. It also features the perpetual calendar function along with several other sub-dials that display date, day, month, moon phase, and more.
Thanks to the 7-day power reserve, this watch guarantees impressive reliability and precision throughout its life. The timepiece is likely to cost around $29,900, which, strangely enough, makes it one of the least expensive watches made by IWC.
IWC Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar TOP GUN Boutique Edition IW502903
Now comes the stunning black-red combination that brings out a striking appearance. This watch celebrates the brand’s collaboration with Lewis Hamilton and their combined passion for innovation, performance, and excellence.
It features a 48mm black ceramic case, offering the level of strength and durability required in aviation. The dial, as mentioned earlier, portrays red/white markings and hands, which goes well with the black background. This combination brings out a chilling look to itself and can certainly grab attention when on the wrist.
This Top Gun edition costs approximately $37,500.
Patek Philippe Nautilus Black Chronograph Dial 5980/1R
This Patek Philippe watch dishes out a unique yet alluring retro appearance, thanks to the gold/black combination. While the entire body is in attractive rose gold, the dial is almost entirely black with gold hands.
Any watch collector would desire this timepiece in their household. And quite unsurprisingly, Hamilton isn’t the only celebrity to have flaunted this watch. This list also includes Conor McGregor, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mark Wahlberg, and several others.
The current market price of this appealing watch is approximately $240,000.
Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar Blue Dial 5740/1G
The design of this watch is quite similar to the previous one, except for its subtle choice of colors. This timepiece features an entirely contrasting combination of blue and white gold. Yet again, this Patek Philippe model is a common sighting among celebrities.
This time, the list features soccer legend, Lionel Messi, Prince Joaan of Qatar, Jay Z, DJ Khaled, and many others. The retail price of the watch is likely to be around $126,850. However, the market value has gone over the roof, with early indications suggesting a price tag of at least $260,000.
Lewis Hamilton Watch – Rolex Daytona 116505

Overall, the list is certainly going to grow further, considering Hamilton’s partnership with IWC is still very much active. Hence, will the F1 world get to see the Briton sporting more extravagant watches in the future?
