SUMMARY
- Christian Horner falls prey to yet another huge controversy triggered by a mysterious Google Drive link.
- Dr. Helmut Marko reacts to the recently revealed evidence feat. Horner's WhatsApp messages.
The fame of Christian Horner has inarguably taken a massive hit since the start of the Bahrain Grand Prix. Of course, the Briton was initially under investigation for allegedly sending sexual messages to an unnamed employee of Red Bull Racing. However, following an intense inquiry, the two barristers eventually revealed that Horner was not guilty of the allegations.
However, heading into the weekend in Bahrain, the leading team principal, who has acquired global recognition for his stupendous work at Red Bull Racing, is forced to undergo another period of agony and embarrassment. An unnamed individual decided to expose the potentially ugly side of the renowned team boss through a mere Google Drive link featuring screenshots of Horner’s supposed WhatsApp conversations with the ‘victim’.
Crazy, isn’t it? Not even 24 hours after Red Bull revealed the contradicting statement, an unknown email address uses hundreds of journalists and team principals as a gateway to tarnish the identity of Horner. Well, Dr. Helmut Marko may have hinted at something far more intriguing.
When asked about the evidence, Horner refrained from acknowledging its authenticity. However, what followed was a rather interesting statement from his fellow partner Marko that could prove the Red Bull boss wrong. Take a look at Marko’s words and let us know what you think.
Dr. Helmut Marko reacts to the ongoing Christian Horner saga
To add a bit of context to the story, here’s the statement Horner revealed following the revelation of alleged evidence. “I won’t comment on anonymous speculation, but to reiterate, I have always denied the allegations,” said the Red Bull team boss. I respected the integrity of the independent investigation and fully cooperated with it every step of the way,” he said.
MARKO: “I’m flabbergasted and surprised that the documents were leaked. I’ve never seen them myself,”
Is Helmut confirming the authenticity of the leak? Granted, he says that he hasn’t seen the evidence himself but his word suggest the leak is real… #F1 https://t.co/JKdcHYvPHG

“It was a thorough and fair investigation conducted by an independent specialist barrister and it has concluded, dismissing the complaint made. I remain fully focused on the start of the season.” However, Marko had a very honest reaction to the saga and may have admitted that the files are indeed true and aren’t necessarily tampered with using AI.
“I’m flabbergasted and surprised that the documents were leaked. I’ve never seen them myself,” the Austrian talent hunter told German media house BILD according to Planet F1. Overall, could this be the hint of things turning sideways for Horner? Or is Marko genuinely just unaware of the documents that had been used in the investigation?
