Max Verstappen has showcased his interest and love for Sim Racing quite a few times. The driver has mentioned his plans of wanting to do something in Sim Racing once he retires. Red Bull’s Dutchman now has plans on making Sim Racing a way for young drivers to be able to make their way to Formula 1. Verstappen is seen spending his time on Sim Racing even during the summer break.
The Dutchman has a whole setup even in his private jet and spends most of his time focusing on the simulator. It was not long back that the driver talked about his retirement.
When confessing he has thought of retiring, the driver mentioned he would love to someday own his own team in Sim Racing. Although the driver already has his own Verstappen.com racing which is with Team Redline Sim Racing, it seems the driver has a bigger vision.
The Dutchman opened up about his plans of having his own GT3 team. He said he has plans on expanding his Sim Racing and having a team while also revealing that he and his father have already started the works on it. Red Bull’s star driver has been dominating season after season but he still looks forward the most to his retirement. However, the driver only recently opened up about wanting some change in the world of racing.
Max Verstappen takes steps to make racing cheaper
Max Verstappen talked about how difficult it can be to make it up to Formula 1. The cost of karting and making way through different racing events until Formula 1 can be really expensive. Therefore, this can cause a lot of young passions to lose their chances of showcasing their talents. However, Verstappen believes Sim Racing can make a big change in motorsports.
According to the Red Bull driver, Sim Racing can blur the lines a little between reality and simulation. He believes that if Sim Racing is brought to real racing, it can change everything. Verstappen said Sim Racing has the power to make motorsports less expensive to pursue. Therefore, he plans on devoting his life to making it come true.
When talking to de Telegraaf, Verstappen said, “Almost all the boys who have grown up in F1 or in other classes have started karting. But that too is so expensive. That’s not for everyone”
“Sim racing is a lot cheaper. You can already start by playing games on your phone, then you can buy a steering wheel in the local store and so it can become more serious and professional step by step”

Verstappen wants to bring the advantages of Sim Racing to real racing. According to him, with the help of Sim Racing, not only the sport but also young passion can benefit.
