George Russell and Lewis Hamilton have not had the best season as teammates. Although it was reasonably fine when Hamilton was securing his podiums. However, as the races have inched closer to the end of the season, the tension between the Mercedes drivers has been evident.
The two drivers have had some fights and have seen the two fighting to get past each other. With the two fighting, it seems there’s just more tension building up for both as Mercedes falls deeper into the hell hole.
As the Qatar Grand Prix started, the two started wheel to wheel as they entered the first corner. While Russell was ahead, Hamilton had great pace and was catching on. However, as the two went into the corner, the two had a crash that had Lewis Hamilton and George Russell spinning into the gravel. While Russell could get back into the race, although at the very back of the grid, Hamilton retired from the race.

This would be Hamilton’s first race of the season which he spends DNF. Meanwhile, Russell has built his way back up in the race. Both the drivers, however, could be heard in one of the most heated radio messages of all time. After avoiding each other for plenty of the season, the two have finally tangled into it, and this time they could not keep it back as they let out their aggressions on the radio.
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell let out their aggression on the radio
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have both had some ups and downs. Hamilton had a few ups in the season and also clinched his 196th podium win. However, for Russell, things have only let him down. The Brit was only inches away from winning a podium until his car lockup. But after their Japanese Grand Prix, the two have avoided one another as much as they could. After Russell’s antics, Hamilton was angered however, he stayed calm.
Lewis Hamilton ran into the gravel and was asked if he was okay. the Brit, however, could be heard replying, “My teammate took me out of the race”. No doubt, with obvious frustrations, he got out of the car and left the race with the number 44 retired. As for Russell, he could be heard screaming on the radio as soon as the crash happened.

He was heard shouting, “Come on! WHAT THE HELL! Two races in a row. Come on.” and then right after, “I’m so sorry guys I wasn’t even looking behind. I was just focused ahead and just came from nowhere.” Russell, right after had another team radio message for his team. He said, “Fucking lost for words, honestly. Just saw the replays on the TV screen. I couldn’t do anything. Totally sandwiched.” Nonetheless, it was a horrible end to the Mercedes star.
