Red Bull has been able to stay on top of the game since last season. They have been leading the Championship so far. And their driver, Max Verstappen, has asserted his dominance with just his talent and skills. Verstappen proved his incredible drive and passion for Formula 1 in 2021. When he battled with Lewis Hamilton after equalling his points and won his first ever World Championship.
Max Verstappen won his second world championship after winning 15 races out of 22 in 2022. He bought Red Bull their 11th consecutive win and their 100th win this season. His 15 race wins broke records of Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel’s 13 race wins in a season streak. But that was not the only Sebastian Vettel record he has broken yet.
Sebastian Vettel has won four championship titles driving for Red Bull. He has had 13 race wins in one season. He became the youngest driver in Formula 1 to win a race at the age of 21. At age 23, he won his first-ever World Championship. He has won 38 races with Red Bull and has the record for the most laps led throughout his career. Recently, Sebastian Vettel only had praise for Max Verstappen when he was asked about the Dutchman.
Sebastian Vettel praises Max Verstappen for his dominance
Sebastian Vettel was asked about his former team Red Bull and their dominance in Formula 1 right now. He had only praises for his team and Verstappen in reply. Vettel said he was really proud to see how far Red Bull had come ever seen he drove for them. He mentioned how they won every race so far in the season. Vettel praised Red Bull for the car that they have created that can stay unbeatable on every single track.
He then praised Max Verstappen for his talent saying, “You have to give Max the credit because he’s doing a great job. He’s an incredible talent and he doesn’t make mistakes. Sergio [Perez] isn’t a bad driver, but you see how quickly things can go wrong.”
Vettel went on to praise Verstappen by hinting at how he might not even be on his level. Max Verstappen has broken many records, some of which of Sebastian Vettel. He has broken Vettel’s record of 13 race wins in a season by winning 15 races. Verstappen has also been the youngest race winner at the age of 18.
While he still fights for winning 9 consecutive races to break the record of Sebastian Vettel. He has already managed to beat his 12-year record of the highest percentage of potential points.
As of now, Max Verstappen has only one 6 consecutive race wins. But while he drives for the dominant team of the season, it might be only a matter of time until he beats yet another record of the German driver. Red Bull introducing more upgrades for the season while also working on next year’s car. It is only a matter of time until we witness Max Verstappen breaking records.
