It is no secret that Lewis Hamilton has not only been a Formula 1 racer but also a musician. The Mercedes driver had revealed that he had been the person behind the rapper name, XDNA. He also collaborated with Christina Aguilera on her single, “Pipe”. He recently also made a cameo in Stromzy’s new music video called “Longevity Flows”. But Hamilton may not be the only driver with musical taste and an artistic mind. Charles Leclerc released two of his newest music tracks.
He posted on his Instagram playing an original tune that fans were loving. So he decided to release his own music on all streaming platforms. His first song had been AUS23 (1:1) which was released right after the Miami Grand Prix. He had told that his inspiration came from race. His next one was MIA23 (1:2), which was released after the Australian Grand Prix.

Charles Leclerc, later went on to post a video explaining his entire process of making his music. Leclerc’s music tracks are instrumentals with his playing the piano and no lyrics. It is a sweet and slow melody made originally by him.
Charles Leclerc explains his music production process
After the successful launch of his first song AUS23 (1:1), he talked about how he recorded his music in his tiny studio all by himself. He said in his Instagram stories which can be seen as highlights, “You know I love the piano and obviously I have seen all the feedback about the songs I put in my stories. Let’s go to the studio and I’ll show you how I do it.”
The Monegasque said, “I already registered the piano song which is here (on the screen), now I need to find another instrument which I’m sure the violin will sound nice and then we’ll try and put them together and see how it sounds”
He then went to add a few violin notes created from his Piano itself. And added them to the track. That’s how the first track AUS23 (1:1) had been created and was open for everyone to listen to easily.

He was asked about the inspiration behind the names of the song to which he replied, “I just didn’t know what to call my pieces of music. One day I went to a restaurant with my engineers. I asked them if they had any idea what to call these titles. I didn’t want to give a “real” song title, it sounded too professional, and I don’t consider myself an artist. So, didn’t want to do this. They said to me: ‘You should name them after the last Grand Prix you did.’ So that’s what I did.”
Confessing that his Ferrari engineers had helped him decide on a song name. When he had felt lost on what to name his creation as he didn’t want to make it professional.
Lewis Hamilton to collaborate on a song with Charles Leclerc
With two great musical artists on the grid, Charles Leclerc was asked if he would be ever interested in collaborating with Lewis Hamilton on a song. To which the Ferrari driver called his music depression music and said if Lewis Hamilton would be interested in it then he would definitely want to collaborate with him.
“It will be cool because I think Lewis is singing. I don’t know what type of song he’s singing; if he’s happy to sing a depression song…then I might be the one he goes to.”
Charles: “But yeah, my songs are not the happiest ones. But maybe why not one day? I mean it will be something very funny to see!”

He then also went on to explain the reason behind his depressive song and what it was about. He commented, “What did I want to express in that song? I am always happy, but I like depressive music. That’s just how I am (laughs, note), I can’t change. When I’m happy, I listen to depressive music. So, there was no message…” Charles Leclerc explained.
With a possible collaboration between the seven-time World Champion and the Ferrari driver, fans have expressed their excitement. Although Charles Leclerc hasn’t released any new music after his Spanish Grand Prix, there’s only hope that we may get more tracks created by the Monegasque himself.
