Italian constructor Ferrari has been a force to be reckoned with in Formula One. It is the most successful constructor in the world with 16 Constructors Championships and 15 Drivers Championship titles and was the home to the likes of drivers like Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Juan Miguel Fangio, and Fernando Alonso.
But since Kimi Raikkonen’s WDC in 2007, Ferrari has not won a single title and has only been a team from the upper midfield. Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso got excruciatingly close to winning titles, but it slipped away from them.
The 2022 season was Ferrari’s perfect opportunity to make a comeback, Mercedes was lacking the pace, the rest of the grid was far behind and their only competition was Red Bull.
However, due to a series of errors in the strategy of the team, it lost the opportunity to win the titles and had to settle for second place. The Tifosi is one of the most supportive fanbases in F1 and it was furious at Team Principal Mattia Binotto for costing the team another season. It extended its appreciation toward the driver lineup.

On Carlos Sainz Jr.’s birthday, the 1st of September, the Spaniard was surprised by Leclerc, who was hiding in Sainz’s closet with a party popper. This gesture was well-liked by the fans. While enmity is common between drivers because the only competition for a driver in Formula One is their teammate, the friendship between Sainz and Leclerc has been on the receiving end of much love and appreciation.
When is Charles Leclerc’s birthday?
Charles Leclerc was born on the 16th of October, 1997 in Monaco. Ferrari’s poster boy will turn 26 this year. On his last birthday, Leclerc could be seen celebrating with friends, family and his now ex-girlfriend, Charlotte Sine.
On his 20th birthday, Charles Leclerc was loaned a Ferrari 812 Superfast back when he was a junior driver for the Constructor.
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz’s friendship
Both the drivers at Ferrari share a wholesome friendship on and off the track. Both appear together on Ferrari’s YouTube channel doing challenges. In a recent video released by Ferrari sponsors Shell, the two were seen joking around with each other. Leclerc complimented Sainz playfully as he called Charles Leclerc “a very good chef” and “a very fast driver“. He then mocked his teammate, saying that “He’s a very poor player at chess, which makes me feel better whenever I play against him.”

Ferrari also posts both their drivers regularly and more often than ever, both the drivers seem to be having a good time with each other. Their friendship, however, does not put an end to the healthy rivalry they should have as teammates. In an interview, Leclerc spoke about Sainz and said he believes his teammate will fight for the title.
This kind of team spirit is seen as positive and the Ferrari fans do love what their two Golden Boys have.
