As the Formula 1 season ended, it was pretty evident that Mercedes struggled to understand what was causing them to have a low-quality car, however, as the team prepared to finish the 2023 season in Abu Dhabi there was yet another nightmare coming for one of the employees in Marina.
There is absolutely no doubt that Formula 1 knows exactly how to celebrate whether it is a race or the end of the season, however, sometimes employees, drivers, and staff might lose foresight as they indulge in enjoying themselves. That is exactly what happened to one of the employees who may have a lot to explain to his wife as soon as he gets home.
With the season ending, Mercedes ranked P2 in the Constructors Championship after having one of the worst seasons by far. The team went on an exciting celebration where all of the Mercedes staff was thrown into the water as a part of the celebration. However, an employee ended up losing his wedding ring in the water on Sunday.
No F1? No problem! You will receive updates of the Mercedes employee that lost his wedding ring on SUNDAY in the Marina and on TUESDAY they decided to look for it. A teammate has volunteered to go deep diving with a metal detector 😭😭😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/nQFrHocpdi

It was on Tuesday that they decided to go look for it with a teammate volunteering to dive into the water with a metal detector quite a few times. For the entire night, the employee alongside another team member stood in the marina with his teammate wearing full diving equipment and a metal detector in hand to find the ring for him.
After trying the detector, they finally gave up which led to the employee calling in a few locals to help him out with getting the ring back. The entire situation was caught in pictures as he and his teammate stressed out over the ring.
Monster Energy leaves Mercedes but sticks to Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton is known for being one of the famous personalities in F1. There have also been talks about Hamilton becoming a brand of his own and also known outside of the sport by people who do not follow F1 as much. His socialite personality and his 35 million followers on Instagram are some of the biggest reasons many recognize him which also has a lot of brands wanting to be the ones to promote them.
However, after having one of the longest sponsorship deals with Mercedes, Monster Energy has now started inclining towards McLaren who did one of the most phenomenal jobs this season bringing seven podiums from just one driver.
The energy drink put out a statement saying that they will be joining McLaren from the next season onwards while Mercedes will be let go of the sponsorship deal however, they plan on keeping Lewis Hamilton onboard.

Although he may not have a sponsorship deal with the energy drink considering he has to stick with his team, the company will continue to make Lewis Hamilton no-sugar energy drink with his name on the cans and will continue to sell the product and have Lewis Hamilton as a part of their product line.
Nonetheless, they do not have any plans of joining Mercedes although they won P2 in the constructors championship with a gap of 107 points between them and McLaren. The energy drink decided to move to McLaren after an incredible performance from both the drivers who competed for the podium.
