SUMMARY
- Alpine recently launched its 2024 F1 livery, which led to chaos on social media.
- Several fans criticized Alpine's decision to expose too much carbon fibre on the car.
Formula 1 has time and time again seen car liveries remaining unchanged or the team having a new livery with the same colors for the new season. However, the new Alpine livery was something not many were expecting and soon many fans expressed their dislike towards the newly launched livery.
Alpine has had consistent livery and livery colors for a long time. Ever since their shift from Renault, and adopting BWT as their sponsor, Alpine took up the blue and pink color palette for the car. Since then, the team has continued to have a similar livery with blue and pink and a little green to add to the mixture. However, with Visa Cash App RB hinting at a similar color concept, Alpine may not be the only one.
Nevertheless, their new car launch left many shocked and with dislike towards the car. While many anticipated a similar pink and blue livery, the team introduced their 2024 challenger with carbon fiber and pink and blue around it as their livery. With all the teams having already chosen the carbon fiber path instead of paint, Alpine has taken a similar road.
Fans react to Alpine’s new livery
Alpine, just like all the other teams ended up having a carbon fiber finish to their car with the pink and blue. However, many weren’t a big fan of the way it ended up looking with most cars on the grid having a carbon fiber finish instead of paint.
One fan under the post said, “We have reached a new low what is this.” And another fan commented under it in agreement saying, “It’s alpine of course they are going to be awful.”

One fan brought up the fact that Alpine’s hypercar livery is far better than the F1 car and is a lot more likable than the 2024 challenger. They said, “Pretty embarrassing when the hypercar has the better livery..”
However, some fans weren’t enjoying the “carbon fiber” path that many were taking with most of the launched liveries having the carbon fiber exposed instead of the car being painted. One user said, “Gonna start watching the races in black and white, no point watching in color since all the liveries are just carbon fiber.”
Meanwhile, a fan brought up the viral Christian Horner meme of the team boss asking Toto Wolff to “change his car” and changed it to react to the car launch. The image instead said, “Paint your f**king car.”

Nevertheless, Alpine’s new challenger seems prepared for the 2024 season while they received more sponsors this year thanks to their partnership with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Alpine hopes on the ‘carbon fiber’ bandwagon with humor
Alpine’s car launch came with a lot of mixed reactions from the fans. While many were excited to see what the team had in store, most were upset with the carbon fiber exposure and the blue and pink that barely hid the body. The 2023 season had most of the teams painting their cars while the 2024 season so far has seen most of the cars opt for carbon fiber.
This, in turn, has completely irradicated the differentiation between the cars and their liveries with most of the car launches showcasing their carbon fiber look. While this upset many fans considering the teams completely missed the points of having different liveries, Alpine took to Twitter to join the bandwagon with some humor.

The team admin posted a video of them touching the car and giving a closer look at the car with the caption, “cArBon FiBeR?” This made many ease up on the whole situation while some fans even appreciated the team for taking things with a sense of humor.
