Carlos Sainz was the talk of the town after his podium win at the Monza Grand Prix. The driver was soaring as he finished with both the Red Bull cars. However, it took a lot more than just driving to the podium. The Monza race was one of the chaotic races of the “silly” season. Carlos Sainz was faster compared to Charles Leclerc. From practice to the race, the pace was incredible. During the race, Sainz in his Ferrari, challenged Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez after which every Ferrari fan left on the edge of their seat.
Both the Ferraris drove wheel to wheel until the end to try to get past the other to win a podium. Charles Leclerc has won all the podiums for Ferrari this season, Sainz however was left to prove himself. However, the Spanish driver won the podium for his team at Monza. When Charles Leclerc was asked about his race, he said it was the most fun he had. However, Nico Rosberg is not the one to believe that.
When talking to Sky Sports, Nico Rosberg said, “So because we always have to, as race drivers, always have to be a bit of Hollywood you know. You can’t always say the truth obviously because it backfires otherwise. And so when I watched Charles Leclerc as he got beaten by Carlos and then Charles is sitting there and saying “yea it was super fun, happy days” and I was thinking is this genuine or he’s pulling a Nico and it felt genuine. So in that case I believe he was being too nice to his teammate.”

Nico made it pretty clear that Charles was too nice to the Spaniard. Especially after Carlos’ mother went on to say horrible things about Charles right after Monza.
Did Carlos Sainz escape the penalty with a late move on Charles Leclerc in Monza?
Carlos Sainz was on for a pole position at the race, however, both drivers were in some serious trouble. Ferrari did what they do best which is ruin a race for their drivers. And what they hoped would not happen would soon follow them to qualifications. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were out on the tracks for their qualifications. However, both drivers recorded a longer time without pitting. Red Bull drivers did the same however, they pit.

After the qualification fiasco, Carlos Sainz was in yet another situation to be penalized. The driver was fast-paced throughout the race. Soon enough both the Ferraris started fighting each other throughout the race as they pushed each other to the limits. During this, Carlos had a lock-up which forced Charles Leclerc to drive straight instead of turning in and taking over. Sainz ran Charles off the track which is a situation where a driver can be penalized.
However, Carlos Sainz was not penalized for the situation. And there’s a small possibility it is because of making a late move on Leclerc. This penalty could have left Sainz in the back as Leclerc won yet another podium. However, the driver started on the pole and won the podium. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc made sure Fred Vasseur was okay after checking his pulse.
