The grand Abu Dhabi GP saw a lot of celebrities join the last F1 race of the season while all the drivers prepared to get crucial points for the teams for the very last time and hopefully secure a better position in the championship standings. However, what many did not expect was a budding relationship between Jason Statham and Yuki Tsunoda.
Although Formula 1 has seen the season filled with glitz and glamour, celebrities filled the paddock at each and every race from Tom Holland, Chris Hemsworth, and Sergio Agüero to Serena Williams and more. These appearances also caused the F1 season to have one of the biggest rumors between Lewis Hamilton and Shakira as they suggested having a romantic relationship.
Nonetheless, many of these celebrities have also shown great support for their favorite drivers and have spoken about who they would most likely be supporting through the season. Shaq was one of the athletes who showed immense support for Lewis Hamilton to the point that the champion’s name was the only answer he gave to all the questions.
As for the God of Lightning and Thunder, Thor, AKA, Chris Hemsworth supported his fellow Aussie, Oscar Piastri.
And we all ignored that Jason Statham, legend with 41mil of followers posted a picture with Yuki Tsunoda and called him brother. Of course it had to be DOTD drive. pic.twitter.com/qFUHAmq3hY

However, Jason Statham had one of the most surprising favorites of all time as he showed support on Instagram after posting a picture with none other than Yuki Tsunoda and captioned it with “Drive fast Brother.” This caused many to be surprised by the randomness of the relationship and the legend of Fast and Furious supporting the AlphaTauri driver.
Lando Norris heaps praise on Yuki Tsunoda for the power-packed 2023 F1 season
While Yuki Tsunoda has struggled throughout the season to get better scores for his team, the driver has never given up as he pushed hard against three other drivers who were welcomed to AlphaTauri this season. Many of these drivers had a great season before Tsunoda could get a better result than a P10, he came around in Austin after Lewis Hamilton’s disqualification.
Nonetheless, in his last race of the season, the driver pushed to his absolute limit and beat Lewis Hamilton finishing ahead of the champion and securing points for the team causing other than Lando Norris to praise the Japanese driver for his incredible skills and understanding of the performance and technical issues in the car.
The Japanese driver has seen three drivers come and go while he stayed consistent throughout the season and has given the team crucial information needed for development.

During an interview, Lando Norris said, “Yuki did a very good job to help lead the team and develop. And that’s an important job in Formula 1.”
His consistency was noted by the McLaren driver and many more throughout the season. He may not have gotten the best results this season however, he was the most consistent of them all and got the team a number of P10s which added a lot of value to their position in the championship.
