Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton took a while to rise to the level of Formula 1 champions, but when he did, his career skyrocketed. It is safe to say that his ascent as the seven-time world champion was also the primary reason why Mercedes rose to its glory and became the dominant name in the sport. However, the Briton’s popularity also shed light on his furry partner, the English bulldog named Roscoe.
With an incredible Instagram following of over 918k followers, Roscoe has become an icon in the world of motorsport racing. This charming dog, an adored member of Hamilton’s family since 2013, tours the world with his dad to various racetracks and earns the love of fans.
Roscoe has built out a niche for himself in cyberspace with his own dedicated online channel. But one of the most interesting facts about Hamilton’s furry friend is that he lives on a complete plant-based diet!

The British driver enthusiastically announced, “He also had skin allergies. I decided to transition him to a vegan diet. It has changed his life. He now doesn’t have any breathing issues, his throat is no longer restricted, and he doesn’t overheat like he did before and he loves to run. He also has no allergy issues” as he shared about Roscoe’s transition to a vegan diet.
Beyond their diet, Hamilton and Roscoe are devoted to the vegan lifestyle and zealously tout its positive effects on the environment as well.
Remembering Coco: Roscoe & Lewis Hamilton mourn the loss of an old companion
The relationship between Lewis Hamilton and his faithful friend Roscoe is well-known and has captured the public’s attention. The depth of their bond can be seen by their interdependence.
When Hamilton decided to take in Roscoe back in 2013, another canine companion, named Coco, joined their dynamic pair that particular year. In Hamilton’s public appearances, Roscoe and Coco remained constant buddies, forming a playful union that won over hearts globally.

However, this union did not last long, and in the dreaded year of 2020, Lewis’ faithful companion, Coco, breathed her last breath. It was a difficult time for the Hamilton family as they mourned the loss of one of the most significant members of their family.
The Brit took to Instagram to share the news with fans with a caption that said: “My beautiful little girl Coco died at home with the family by her side. Her little heart gave in, we think it was a heart attack.”
Her departure came just before Hamilton clinched his historic seventh F1 world championship. He adopted Coco from the same breeder as Roscoe who disclosed her challenging past. All these factors made her passing more difficult for Lewis and Roscoe. Her absence left a void as the duo and all the fans mourn her loss even after three years of her passing.
