Yuki Tsunoda has a new teammate, Daniel Ricciardo, who has a huge chance to show off his skills to be a worthy member at AlphaTauri for the rest of the season. After just 10 races, Nyck de Vries was the victim of a strategy for a power move and was immediately dismissed from AlphaTauri.
As a result, his tenure in Formula 1 this decade was among the briefest for full-time drivers. It would surely be a setback for de Vries’ career if he was unable to regain his spot on the grid.
Yuki Tsunoda is excited to have the Australian driver Ricciardo as his new teammate. However, he acknowledged Nyck de Vries’ potential as a driver. He said, “I had an enjoyable time over the past ten races with Nyck. I learned from him, and we also had a good time away from the track“.
Tsunoda added to his comment, “He had plenty of experience in other categories and gave the team good feedback based on his knowledge. He had the pace and, as a friend, I enjoyed my time with him“.

Former F2 and Formula E champion Nyck de Vries offered plenty of insight into Formula 1. Despite his outstanding record in previous racing divisions, he found it difficult to rival his speed and performance in the F1 grid. Throughout his third season, Tsunoda proved to be superior to his teammate in terms of performance and results and stood out as a driver within the team.
Tsunoda and Ricciardo’s strategy for the upcoming race
At the Hungarian Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo will be making his much-anticipated return to the track by competing for AlphaTauri in his first race of the year. Ricciardo stated his excitement about returning to the grid, particularly with a team he is at ease with. He admitted that there might be some differences between driving the RB19 in the Silverstone test and switching to the AT04, but stated with confidence that he is up for the challenge.

On the other side, Tsunoda is upbeat about AlphaTauri’s odds this weekend. He said that in addition to the modifications used in the previous race, they included fresh ones for the race in Hungary. The Hungaroring circuit’s unique design, which has slow-moving turns, is said to benefit the AT04.
Finding the perfect rhythm on the track is the key to conquering the Hungaroring, as for Daniel Ricciardo. With his prior experience, Ricciardo intends to add to the development of the car and enjoy himself during the Budapest race. He is of the opinion that the track can make up for an exciting and pleasurable driving experience if the car’s balanced is kept in good shape.
