The Pokemon Company announced their upcoming game titled Pokemon Legends: Z-A during the Pokemon Present 2024. The presentation showed fans a glimpse of the game by unveiling a brief teaser trailer. The trailer as of now has garnered positive response from fans.
The game is going to be a bold new addition to the franchise. Fans got to be their favorite Pokemon Pikachu sprinting across a wireframe representation of a city in the short two-minute teaser.
Pokémon Legends Z-A will be available in 2025 and teases an “urban redevelopment plan” for Lumiose City, various Pokémon, and more.

The game will take players to the Lumiose City based on France which will be the setting for the game. However, from what it looks like, the game’s open-world will be quite limited in comparison to its predecessor.
Is Pokemon Legends: Z-A coming to Switch 2?
The Pokemon Company has announced that their upcoming game will get a worldwide launch and will come out in 2025.
As soon as the release date was announced, started pointing towards the rumors that the Pokemon game could be an early entry to the heavily rumored Nintendo Switch successor. This is due to the fact that, according to some recent reports including one from Nikkei, the next-generation Switch device is set to hit the shelves in March 2025.
Fans also believe this rumor to be true due to the hints given by the developers. The game’s teaser trailer had a reference to a “simultaneous” release. In addition to that several “Switch systems” were also mentioned in a tweet on X from the Pokemon Company.

Although the company’s message might be referring to already existing Switch variants like the Switch Lite or the OLED model, many believe that this is not the case so, as the game will definitely be coming to the next generation Switch.
Despite Nintendo officially didn’t make any announcements regarding the development of the Switch 2, there are several reports that suggest the device is getting ready for a global launch.
