UFC 4, which debuted on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One three years ago, is coming to an end, fueling fan excitement for the next installment in the series. EA Sports has been teasing the new installment via social media, and now we have official confirmation of UFC 5.
On September 7, EA officially revealed that UFC 5 will be released on October 27, 2023. This statement comes two months after the EA Sports UFC team teased a “full reveal” in September 2023 on Twitter.
EA Sports revealed the cover athletes for the game on September 5. The standard edition will feature Valentina Shevchenko and Alexander Volkanovski, and the deluxe edition will feature Israel Adesanya.

UFC 5 will have a new damage system that emphasizes cuts and bruises to simulate real UFC fights. Hundreds of new animations, doctor stoppages, enhanced controls, character models, and a switch to the Frostbite engine will also be included in the game. Alter Ego outfits can be obtained through in-game actions.
UFC 5 on EA Play Subscription Service
UFC 5 comes with the option of early access. EA’s Early Access for the game was made available starting October 24, three days before the entire game. The game’s trial will last for 10 hours. Fans can play the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. On these devices, the players need to have an EA Play subscription to access the game.
EA Play is the ultimate gaming destination for fans of EA games. Membership will entitle the players to more of their favorite Electronic Arts games, including more prizes, trials, and savings.

UFC 5 immediately downloads after the player selects the trial version on their system. If the player is subscribed to EA Play and upgrades from trial to full purchase, they will receive a 10% discount on UFC 5.
The game will only be available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The development team confirmed that there will be no release for last-generation consoles, and there will be no cross-play.
