Every year, the video game industry’s top achievements are recognized with the Game Awards. Famous game journalist, Geoff Keighley, produces and hosts the presentations, which were started in 2014. The Game Awards also includes new details on previously announced titles and the world premieres of upcoming games.
The complete list of nominees, which includes over 30 categories, has been made available to the public. A global jury including influencers and over 100 media sources selected the nominations for this year.
Large role-playing games and more concise, linear games are all competing for one of the industry’s most sought-after Game of the Year award. There will be a unique selection process for this year’s awards, with a jury selected with great care making up 90% of the panel and fan votes accounting for the remaining 10%.
