SUMMARY
- The Finals has released update 1.10 which comes with a lot of exciting features.
- The patch brings in two major events for the game.
Back in January 2024, developer Embark Studios launched its first-ever limited-time mode known as the Solo Bank It. Ever since its launch, the game has only got more and more innovative with each new update. Be it the Steal the Spotlight event and its Valentine’s Day-inspired reward challenges.
That being said, not every event introduced in the game has been highly successful. In early February, the Dead Go Boom event was withdrawn after players reported frustration over how the event negatively impacted melee-specific players.
Now The Finals has received another new update 1.10, and it comes with a brand new in-game event featuring its own set of rewards.
The Finals launches update 1.10
The Finals released update 1.10 which continues to introduce more quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes to the game. Besides, it also adds brand-new content such as a special Smoking Guns limited-time mode as well as a community challenge.
Ever since the game launched at The Game Awards in December 2023, it has continually been evolving. This includes consistent updates that focus on balancing some of the abilities as well as fixing major issues that impact the game. It also adds new content to the overall experience.
The recent update will act as a refresher to the available content. One of the biggest additions, however, is the Smoking Guns event. The event will transform the Monaco map in The Finals into something substantial out of the old American West.
The players will be taking part in a single-round tournament that was seen in The Finals beta. Four teams enter the event and compete to collect the most money first. Besides, the new event also arrives with its own contracts and rewards. The players who complete all the contracts will earn the High Noon Noir outfit.

In addition to this, the patch also notes a number of known issues. This includes the anti-virus program “CrowdStrike” which prevents players from being able to launch THE FINALS. The devs suggested players check if they have this software installed if they are running into trouble launching the game.
Besides, they acknowledged that the Glint Tint weapon skin seems to be partially broken, resulting in a darker look than normal. The devs promised to fix it in the next update. The Smoking Guns splash screen displays an incorrect end date and time. It says “28th of February” instead of March 7, 2024.
On the other hand, they also noted that Las Vegas had issues with players being able to spawn under the sand. To solve this, the developers have disabled the sandstorm version of Las Vegas for now in The Finals.
Besides, the update also makes general security updates fixing some general security issues. Similarly, in terms of the video, various shadow quality improvements, particularly on lower-quality settings have also been fixed.
