Embark Studios is working on its upcoming game, The Finals. Ahead of the launch, the developers have launched an open beta program for the game. The Finals is a highly hyped first-person multiplayer game that has already had numerous closed playtests going on for a year.

How to play the Open Beta of The Finals?
The Finals was first premiered during the Xbox Partner Preview held on the night of October 25, 2023. At the event, many fans got to witness a polished-up glimpse of the upcoming battle royale shooter. Likewise, the Open Beta of the game was announced beginning on October 26, 2023. The Open Beta stage will run from the said date and will end on November 5, 2023.
The Finals Open Beta will be accessible for all major platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Additionally, the game is completely free to play, giving players a solid reason to take advantage of the beta ahead of the official release.
In the FAQ about the open beta launch time for The Finals, the developers stated, “The Open Beta starts on October 26th. The Beta will roll out one platform at a time, but we can not assure exact times for each platform.“

Here’s how to sign up for The Finals Open Beta on different platforms:
PlayStation players can simply head over to The Finals PS Listing on their gaming console. Alternatively, they can search for the game on their consoles. Once on the game page, they must click on the Wishlist button. Similarly, Xbox Series X/S players must visit the Xbox Store and wishlist the game.
On the other hand, PC gamers can visit the Steam Store to wishlist the game. Steam will notify the players once the Open Beta is ready for them to access. Notably, the open beta for The Finals is cross-platform, so regardless of whether the players play it on Xbox, PlayStation 5, or PC, all gamers can play against each other in multiplayer lobbies.
Embark Studios also noted that this is an open beta test; thus, if the servers go down or become inconsistent mid-game, players are expected to understand it is due to the beta testing phase. They also added that the game is in a ‘very playable‘ state.
