Bethesda’s Starfield is finally out and the Starfield community already has a long list of patch fixes and bugs that need to fixed in the game. The primary objective of the Starfield Community Patch (SPC) is to simply “fix bugs, errors, and other inconsistencies.” These include “tweaks, typos and other changes that may have been missed (or not yet released)” by the developer.
The Starfield Community Patch was launched way before the game’s official release to establish a forum for any issues faced. The entire SCP community believe that to improve the overall Starfield experience it is important that players themselves come together to help report and take action against any issues accidentally left in by Bethesda. In addition to this they will also suggest things that could enhance their overall experience.

Starfield is Bethesda’s biggest launch ever, which took decades in making ever since it conceptualization 20 years ago. The game was announced, slated for release and then postponed twice before finally releasing on September 6, 2023. Fans were eagerly awaiting the launch and hence it will have no shortage of people willing to contribute in making the game better.
Bethesda following the tradition with Starfield SCP
With more and more Starfield mods planned in the coming times, the massive Starfield Community Patch project has already reported over 100 issues. And it does not stop there, more issues are expected in the coming days.
With the kind of response that SCP has got, it looks like Bethesda is continuing the tradition of letting players adding their own fixes, patches, mods, and changes to Bethesda games. The current stance of community patches for Starfield makes us reminisce the the time when Bethesda’s other popular titles have also followed a similar pattern where community patches fixed a lot of the major issues with the games.
These titles include Fallout 4 and Skyrim. First it was The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which released on November 11, 2011, which witnessed the gaming community coming together and suggesting patches, which led to Bethesda fixing a lot of issues in the game based on the community patches.
Four years later Bethesda released Fallout 4 on November 10, 2023, and it followed a similar pattern of taking fixing bugs based on community patches. The same is being seen with Bethesda’s space odyssey Starfield, with over a 100 issues already reported by the community.
Players who wish to get involved and contribute to the community patch can go to the official SCP website and report any issues they face with the game. The SCP team will then collate the issues and begin working on fixes.
