Bethesda Games, the developers of Starfield have come up with a new game after more than two decades. Starfield is an action-based RPG where the players will go on a new galactic journey across the planets.
Starfield is available on PC via Steam and the Windows Store, Xbox Series X and Series S, and other gaming platforms. Early access began from the game on September 01, 2023, and the official release is scheduled for September 06, 2023.
The game is just like any other classic Bethesda Game. It has an elaborate storyline comprising numerous characters and a variety of planets. The game will take around 200 hours to complete fully. A lot of players faced issues with launching the game. The reason could be that the hardware requirements weren’t met. Looking at this, players wondered if the game would work on Steam Deck.
Is Starfield available on Steam Deck?
According to an article from Insider Gaming, Starfield is on Steam Deck. However, as of right now, the system’s performance won’t go above 30FPS.
Turning everything down to Low is currently the greatest strategy for getting the most out of Starfield on the Steam Deck. Then, with FSR 2, applying supersampling while disabling motion blur and film grain.
To achieve optimal performance within the available special architecture, Bethesda would have had to put in some extra effort. Starfield does provide you with a compelling reason to stop using consoles and start using PCs in the meantime. For the foreseeable future, it might be the only place to find that 60FPS experience if you’re looking for it.
Bethesda would have needed to put in some additional work to ensure performance is on point within the unique architecture available. The game is available in multiple editions and the players can choose one of their liking and explore the universe with the new RPG.
