In the game, the players will go on a new cosmic journey and explore outer space in a part of the galaxy. The developers have also brought in an option for early access which will begin on September 01, 2023, and they can play the game early by buying a special edition of the game.
In a recent FAQ session with Todd Howard, the director, and executive producer at Bethesda Games who answered a lot of questions about the upcoming game.
How many dialogues does Starfield have?
In an interview uploaded by GameSpot, he can be seen talking about the game. He also spoke about the story’s depth and the number of dialogues. Howard stated that he planned to bring back the “Classic Bethesda” type dialogue. He described seeing the sentiments and facial reactions of the persons the player is conversing with.
Howard said that Starfield has crossed 250,000 sentences of dialogue, a number that is over four times Skyrim’s 60,000 and more than double Fallout 4’s 111,000 lines. There are a lot of other things that he spoke about including the inspiration for the game from Sundog (1984) and Traveller (1977).
In the FAQ video, Howard is seen talking about a lot of features of the game and one of them is the story depth. It is a common thing for most of the Bethesda games to have a lot of dialogue and hence it is not unusual for Starfield to have so many dialogues too.
He also spoke about how he worked on a similar game earlier but he faced issues and he also said that he has always wanted to work on a scientific game, especially with the technology available in today’s time. As a result, they created a gameplay element that prevents players from becoming stuck, albeit getting stuck might turn into an option in an upcoming update or mod.
