PAYDAY 3 has finally released for consoles, PC, and Game Pass. As fans are getting their hands on and enjoying this high-octane heist action, some players have encountered a few snags in the game. During the initial launch, the servers seemed to be spotty. However, fans can stay assured that these will be fixed sooner rather than later.
Each game in the PAYDAY franchise has a history of receiving extensive content updates and fixes over all these years. The game is primarily a multiplayer game which requires players to team up with other players to play.
Although PAYDAY 3 is designed to be played with other players and currently does not support an actual single-player option there are ways in which players can take advantage of going on solo crime sprees in the game.
How to play PAYDAY 3 solo?
As mentioned earlier, the single-player mode is not an accessible option in the game right now. Thus players will not find the single-player option in PAYDAY 3‘s Main Menu. However, players can click on the heist option and join a heist. They must then matchmake and choose the heist to tackle.
A briefing screen will appear, explaining the goals of the heist and allowing players to make adjustments to the matchmaking settings. They can also adjust the difficulty. Then comes the lobby, which has three different types namely, public, friends-only, and invite-only.
To join a PAYDAY 3 heist solo choose the Friends Only or Invite Only option. Next, click Matchmake to confirm the match settings. Remember, not to cancel matchmaking when the game is looking for a match.
The game will go through the motions of finding a game match and take some time before getting to the lobby. Once the players have reached the lobby, they will be able to adjust their loadout with a time limit window of five minutes. Eventually, bots take the place of the remaining three characters in your team. Once the loadout is sorted get ready to jump into a single-player mode in PAYDAY 3.
Remember that the game is designed to be played by a group of real players, thus it is heavily balanced for cooperative play. Therefore, players may likely find the solo heists to be a bit more difficult. The bots are designed to only walk around public areas, so they won’t trip any alarms. Hence the stealth aspects of a heist are totally dependent on the player’s individual skill.
So players playing PAYDAY 3 in solo mode better be prepared to shoulder the entire burden. The bots will come in play and join the player once the player has put on their mask and gone loud. The bots will also deploy some weapons, however, that’s all they can do.
