Nintendo Direct’s recent stream wrapped up today and it had so much to offer. It was a roughly 40-minute long live stream which Nintendo announced just yesterday. The stream focused on the forthcoming Nintendo Switch games that fans can expect to release by the end of this year as well as next year.
The past year has indeed been a massive one for video games across all platforms including Nintendo. And the platform clearly shows no intention of slowing down. This was evident even during today’s Nintendo Direct event. The platform made some huge announcements about new games coming to the Nintendo Switch.
They have new titles as well as several exciting remakes of classic Nintendo titles from the company’s extensive catalogue lined up for the coming year. Players who have subscribed to Nintendo’s Online service received some exclusive and special announcements too.

Some of the notable announcements made at Nintendo Direct included the launch of new single-player DLC in Splatoon 3: Sider Order coming in Spring 2024, the return of one of Nintendo’s secret greatest GBA games Mario vs Donkey Kong on Switch.
Similarly, a new gameplay trailer of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was revealed ahead of its January release. Nintendo also announced the opening of Nintendo Museum opening in Japan next March.
Another attention grabbing announcement was that of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. A remastered version RPG originally made by Intelligent Systems was announced. This remake will give the new generation an opportunity to experience this charming and nostalgic game. Reportedly, fans have been demanding its re-release for years now owing to its charming writing and strong RPG mechanics.
