Gamescom is a very big event for the gaming industry. A lot of new announcements are made and the fans have an amazing time learning about the new games or new editions of their favorite games. In this year’s event, Electronic Arts released a teaser for UFC 5.
It is one of the most popular sport-based games. It did not bring in a lot of details but the fans are all hyped up for the MMA game to bring in a new edition. UFC series doesn’t have an annual release date such as a number of EA Sports games, each new game’s arrival is a lot of fun.
EA UFC 5 will be launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Series S, according to the game’s recent closed beta. Meanwhile, it is anticipated that it will not be coming to PCs just like the previous editions of the game also didn’t. The game will also not be available to play for fans who have the previous generation PlayStation 4.
Key details about UFC 5
Not just in real life, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has won over the MMA fans in the virtual space as well. The very first install of EA UFC came out in June 2014. It featured Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson on the cover and fans immediately took a liking to it. Electronic Arts (EA) subsequently released four more installments. The latest, EA UFC 5, came out in October 2023.
The games also have different athletes that feature on the covers for different editions. EA Sports UFC 4 featured the former UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya and the former BMF Champion Jorge Masvidal on the cover.
This time around, the former UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and the former UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko were featured on EA Sports UFC 5 cover. However, the deluxe version of the game had Adesanya on the cover.

Unfortunately, EA Sports UFC 5 will not be a cross-platform game. It is consistent with UFC 4 which also did not have the cross-platform feature. Perhaps going forward, EA would consider adding the option for future editions.
UFC 5 costs fans a lavish $69.99 for PlayStation users. The price will remain the same for the Xbox users as well. However, the deluxe edition will cost $30 more to MMA fans. Both PlayStation and Xbox users will have to shell out $99.99 to buy the deluxe edition and unlock premium features.
