IShowSpeed once surprised his fans with a shocking announcement of leaving YouTube before he added a big twist to his announcement. IShowSpeed revealed that he wants to live as a normal teenager after he met with his lifelong idol Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this year.
The YouTuber declared with a somber expression, “My last stream. I met Ronaldo. That’s it now bro. I’m just gonna quit YouTube. Enjoy life for now. Gonna say goodbye. You Know, and just live life as a normal person, you know?”
He was, however, quick to break his character and revealed that he was indeed joking with the fans and would not be going anywhere as IShowSpeed shouted, “SIIIKE! ARE YA’LL STUPID BRO?”
The 18-year-old has made his name in the soccer community because of his love for soccer maestro Cristiano Ronaldo. The young YouTuber even has a tattoo of the player’s face on his arm as an attestation of his love for Ronaldo.
His supporters were quick to believe that Speed might quit streaming after meeting Ronaldo during the player’s international break last month. However, the announcement was all in jest and Speed has since then continued to hold streams on YouTube.
Will IShowSpeed play in the 2023 Sidemen Charity match?
The 2023 Sidemen Charity Match is supposed to be held on September 9 at the London Stadium. This raised a question among the fans on whether IShowSpeed would be able to play in the match. The YouTuber had a recent eye surgery for a severe sinus infection.
Famous YouTuber Miniminter has now confirmed that the American streamer will be a part of the match. However, he must receive medical clearance. Miniminter explained, “‘Is Speed playing?’ Yes! As long as the medical, like, he’s okay, with like… the medical stuff he had before. He is still playing, yes.”
🚨One of the sidemen @miniminter said IShowSpeed is still playing the charity match this year‼️ He said the reason they deleted the post was because they didn’t know if speed could fly over to the UK. Speed is still PLAYING SUIII7️⃣⚡️🔥 pic.twitter.com/lDKp1ixeyo
