SUMMARY
- Helldivers 2 seems to be cooking up more content for its players.
- A recent leak showcases new vehicles coming to the game including mech-suit tanks.
Helldivers 2 is enjoying great success on the Steam charts and in players’ hearts. Despite the initial server cap issues, Arrowhead Studios came back in full force. The server cap was increased to 800,000 concurrent players. The developers are hard at work at fixing the game and players love the CEO’s humor and wit.
The game pits players against Terminids and Automatons and they have to liberate planets from the enemy faction’s control. ‘FOR DEMOCRACY’ is a very popular warcry in the community and the players love going the extra route to make the battles feel as realistic as possible.
The co-op shooter has several weapons that players can utilize against their enemies, depending upon what faction they are fighting. Terminids are usually weak to fire while Automatons require armor piercing rounds to take down. However, new leaks showcase that the current arsenal is incomplete as there is a lot more coming to Helldivers 2.
Helldivers 2 leaks show new vehicles
A recent video on YouTube showcases all the new mechanics coming to Helldivers 2. There are mech-suit tanks and weapon-mounted armored vehicles, reminiscent of Halo’s Warthogs.
The video gives us a look at 2 different variations of the mech-suits. Both are more than double a player’s height. The players can enter the mech suits from a hatch at the back and control the mech completely. The variations for the mech come from the weapons wielded by them. One mech is shown to have one dual-barrelled heavy autocannon in each hand, while the other has one triple-barrelled minigun on one hand and a missile pod mounted on the shoulder. Only one player can control the mech.
Another vehicle showcased is a 4-wheeler, all-terrain vehicle, which looks very similar to Halo’s Warthogs. It has 4 seats, to house an entire squad. The biggest noticeable element of the buggy is the mounted turret, which a player can use while the driver drives. The turret is a heavy machine gun that can easily mow down Terminids. However, this seems to be early footage as the player was able to get hit while inside the vehicles.
Helldivers 2 leaks show six new items
The video of the leak also showcases six new items coming to the game including four weapons. The weapons each have a unique trait that the players can utilize passively. The following weapons were shown in the video:
- ARC-12 Blitzer: A shotgun that fires a huge burst of electricity that can chain-jumps between anybody in its range, friend or foe.
- SG-8P Punisher Plasma: A modified version of the Punisher shotgun that fires exploding plasma rounds. This weapon can also injure teammates.
- CB-9 Exploding Crossbow: A crossbow that fires exploding bolts, doing maximum damage on direct contact. The bolts are affected by gravity.
- R-36 Eruptor: A bolt-action rifle that fires rocket rounds that release shrapnel upon impact. Simply put, a cluster bomb launcher. Best to avoid use in close quarters.

The utility items in the videos are:
- BX-7 Displacer Pack: A backpack that can save your life at the last moment. It teleports the user before they take a fatal hit.
- B-1 Supply Pack: An ammunition storage backpack that allows ammo sharing between Helldivers.
These new weapons seem to have a focus on Crowd Control with a high risk of TKing should your teammates come in your line of fire. The backpacks seem to be focusing on survivability and lasting as long as possible in the fight.
It’s evident that while these weapons come at great pros, they also have cons too. For instance, they might have a lower magazine count and you can blast your teammates to Oblivion. GantzTheDemon may just have more ways to make their teammate’s lives more miserable.
The new leaks suggest that Arrowhead Studios are not out of ideas for the game and are committed to pumping out more and more content to keep their players fighting for democracy.
