GTA 5 ending due to GTA 6?
Recently there has been speculation that Rockstar Games might pull the plug on GTA 5. The developers plan to bring in a final update and then end the updates for it. There is no official news or announcement in this regard however there might be a few reasons why fans are speculating about this.
GTA 6 is going to be an online game which is the current trend. To keep an online game alive, there have to be constant updates that add more and more content for players to do. Bringing in updates requires a lot of effort and resources. Hence bringing in updates for multiple games at a time would be a huge task, costing essential resources and money.
GTA 6 is in its alpha version as per the leaks. The developers have to make sure that they have all hands on deck for the release and subsequent updates.
So it is natural to assume that the developers might be thinking of pulling the plug on the game. This is not something unusual as a lot of games get discontinued after a newer one is released. However, Rockstar Games has a huge team so they can reduce the number of updates that GTA 5 receives instead of ending it outright.
Currently, there are no concrete details about the release of GTA 6 so the fans are also eagerly waiting for more information on the new game.
