Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut was confirmed for a PC release by developer Sucker Punch over PlayStation’s official blog. Director’s Cut serves as a complete Ghost of Tsushima experience, much like Game of the Year/Ultimate Editions for other titles. It will include the Iki Island Expansion and a co-op multiplayer mode along with the full game.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut PC features and pre-order bonus
The PC port comes with several new improvements to the game including complete controller support. Steam input can be utilized to make non-traditional controllers work with the game. The blog states that a PlayStation Dualsense controller would provide the best immersion.
Director’s Cut will also come with upscaling techniques for GPUs of all manufacturers including Intel Arc. Nvidia DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 are both available for upscaling and improving frame rate. Intel XeSS Is also included and is pairable with either DLSS 3 or FSR 3. The PC version is optimized for 21:9, and 32:9 and even supports triple monitor setups with 48:9 resolutions.
Players can pre-purchase Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on Steam right now, which also comes with a few bonuses. The bonus includes Broken Armor Dye, Traveler’s Attire, and a New Game+ Horse.
There are also the Legends and Kurosawa Modes in the Director’s Cut. The Legends mode is a co-op multiplayer mode that features two-player story missions and four-player waves-based survival missions. A competitive mode that includes a two-versus-two Rivals mode is also coming along with four selectable classes.
The Kurosawa mode is a cinematic experience to play Ghost of Tsushima with, which turns the game greyscale with film grain, and forces the audio into Japanese language, with English subtitles, to give off a movie-like gameplay inspired by movies of Akira Kurosawa.
PlayStation fans upset over Ghost of Tsushima’s PC port
While PC fans celebrate the release of Ghost of Tsushima for their platform, PlayStation fans are the opposite. PlayStation has always had a huge list of exclusives which made a lot of fans buy the console originally.
Many PS fans are upset that PlayStation is losing its exclusive titles to another console. They think that it will make the PS5 lose its original value.
PS5 fans have also accused PC players of killing the PS5 due to their ‘port begging’. The Steam community page for Ghost of Tsushima is currently flooded with upset PS fans.

One user said, “You ruined my life, as a Playstation gamer, you and your port begging has killed the Playstation. Are you guys happy? You killed millions of players who INVESTED in the best gaming console for only you to go and kill it with your port begging. When will this oppression against Playstation gamers end?”
There are many similar comments on not just Steam but also on X. But PC players have also come to the defense of their platform.
There are many PS5 fans that are also happy to share this cinematic experience with other consoles, being the other side of the coin. This disdain over PC ports for PS5 games has been an occurrence since the release of other PS5 titles on PC like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Forbidden West, God of War and even Spider-Man.
