IShowSpeed, made a triumphant comeback after a brief hiatus where he battled through the torment of Cluster Headaches, which he encountered during a recent trip to Japan.
The two-week break was met with anticipation by his dedicated followers, who were elated to witness his return to form. The liveliness and cheer that he brought back with him were a refreshing sight.
However, the heart of Speed’s return lay in his candid sharing of his struggle against Cluster Headaches. In a heartfelt segment, he described the excruciating pain he endured with raw honesty. He recounted, “Y’all don’t even know the pain I went through, bro. Y’all don’t know what the hell I went through, bro. Chat, do y’all know what the f**kk, like, I almost f**king d*ed, bro!”

He delved even deeper into his experience, describing the emotional toll the headaches had on him. In a vulnerable moment, he revealed, “I literally almost; bro, chat – I almost jumped off the building, chat. I almost jumped off of a building! I was this close to jumping off of a Japanese building, bro. And chat, I’m not trolling, bro.”
To make his ordeal relatable, he employed vivid metaphors. He likened the pain to the sensation of a knife repeatedly stabbing behind the eye. He further described by stating “It’s like fking Mike Tyson, like, his hand is just, like, pulling it. And, like, f*king Ronaldo is kicking your eye and it’s coming out.”
In closing, Speed emphasized his ongoing healing journey, acknowledging that despite his return, he still grappled with the aftermath of what he aptly termed “the worst ever sinus infection.” His open and honest sharing not only highlighted his personal challenges but also resonated with his audience, underscoring his strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
When was IShowSpeed released from hospital?
During his visit to Japan, IShowSpeed faced a debilitating health setback in the form of cluster headaches, leading to his admission to a local hospital.
In a video uploaded on July 28, the 18-year-old YouTube sensation candidly shared his struggles with this health condition. The video poignantly captured IShowSpeed’s swollen eye, a physical manifestation of his distress. He revealed that he was unable to open his eyes due to the pain, likening the sensation to a sharp knife repeatedly stabbing at his eyes.
The video also documented his journey, as he announced his impending surgery and was shown being transported via an ambulance.
On July 30, Speed’s father, Darren Sr., took to social media to provide an encouraging update on his son’s condition. He expressed, “I am just giving you guys an update on Junior. Junior is doing much better. He was just not feeling himself. We never say ‘sick,’ we just say he wasn’t feeling himself. He made sure that he got himself taken care of.”

Subsequently, a glimmer of positivity emerged from Japan through one of Speed’s associates. They shared a picture of the streamer and confirmed his discharge from the hospital on July 30. Since the intial release, Speed visited the hospital on July 31 for some MRI scans for the eye.
In a separate tweet, the associate acknowledged Speed’s fortunate outcome, stating that he was ‘lucky’ not to have suffered permanent vision loss.
Following these challenging events, Speed made his way back to the USA at the start of August. To facilitate his recovery from the debilitating cluster headaches, he took a two-week hiatus, a period devoted to regaining his strength and health.
