Electronic Arts has officially announced EA Sports UFC 5. Many had long suspected the development of this fifth iteration, but it only became official when EA Sports and UFC announced it at the UFC’s International Fight Week event over the weekend. The company has not revealed further details besides the logo, but we anticipate a full reveal in September of this year.
Three years after the release of the previous game, EA Sports has officially announced “UFC 5.”. Although the company has not announced an official release date, a post on the game company’s social media promises a “full reveal” in September.

EA Sports has yet to announce the cover athletes for UFC 5. Prior honorees include Jon Jones, Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal, and Israel Adesanya.
The company has also added special characters to the game. For instance, boxing champion Tyson Fury was a featured athlete in UFC 4. In UFC 4, EA enhanced features to improve the MMA video game. They introduced a new career mode, updated takedown mechanics, and a new submission system.
In addition, Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik added to the excitement by providing commentary on the action. EA also included new fighting environments such as, the “UFC APEX,” “The Backyard,” “Action Avenue,” and “The Kumite,” arena from the action movie Bloodsport.
Will UFC 5 be available on the game pass?
There are rumors and speculation regarding the potential connection between EA Sports UFC 5 and Xbox Game Pass, yet definitive information confirming its Game Pass availability at launch is missing. UFC 5’s full reveal is set for September 2023, which accordingly should bring more Game Pass availability information. Via Loadout.
Rumors and leaks about new, eagerly anticipated games often spread, and this game is no exception. A particular rumor contends that the fight night reboot will not be available for players enjoyment.
UFC 4 has set no precedent for crossplay functionality in UFC 5. Indeed, recent EA Sports titles like FIFA 22 have introduced crossplay, but the availability of this feature in UFC 5 remains uncertain due to the minimal news surrounding the game. The game’s comprehensive reveal, slated for September 2023, promises to provide a more detailed outlook, potentially including an announcement about crossplay functionality.
In addition, there is speculation about EA play, suggesting that EA Sports UFC 5 might link up with Xbox Game Pass. It should be noted, however, that while some rumors or leaks may hold some truth, others do not, so it’s best to regard any hearsay or leaks judiciously and await official confirmation from the publisher or game developer. We can do nothing more than exercise patience and wait.
