Death Stranding 2’s confirmed celebrity cast
The initial bunch of celebrity names that will comprise the cast of Death Stranding 2 has been revealed by Hideo Kojima. Keeping in tradition with the first game, Death Stranding 2 is full of some of the best-talented people from the world of cinema and video games. However, fans should keep in mind that the full list of cast has still not been officially disclosed by Konami.
The new addition to Konami’s game was most shown in the long trailer reveal. The game will see the coming back of its main protagonists. The main protagonists will also be joined by new characters, such as a little sentient puppet portrayed by Head-On director Fatih Akin and a new character played by Mad Max director George Miller.
The game will also see the following actors:
- The return of Lea Seydoux as Fragile.
- Norman Reedus will return as Sam Bridges.
- Troy Baker reprising his role as Higgs.
- New additions will include Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna in unconfirmed roles.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is not the only project Kojima Productions is working on. As confirmed earlier, Konami is developing the enigmatic Xbox horror game OD and has partnered with A24 on a live-action movie based on Death Stranding.
Death Stranding 2 release date and platforms
Apart from revealing the trailer for the game, Konami has not given an exact date for its release date. However, what is confirmed is that the game has a 2025 release window. Kojima Productions has not yet disclosed the platforms Death Stranding 2 will be coming to, but as of now, it has been confirmed for the PlayStation 5.
The original Death Stranding game was launched in 2019 and during its launch, it was a PlayStation exclusive. The game was initially made available on the PlayStation 4. However, almost a year later the game got a PC port thanks to its publisher 505 Games.
Seeing this trend, the game may initially come as a PlayStation exclusive to PS5. This is also because Sony is heavily involved with the game’s production. The game may also come to other platforms after some time of its launch as Sony continues to invest in the market outside of the PlayStation ecosystem.
