Chris Tyson from MrBeast opened up about a difficult time in his childhood that pushed him back into the closet that was he trying very hard to come out of. In an interview on the YouTube channel ‘Banter‘, Chris was in attendance with his friend and MrBeast team member Karl Jacobs. The pair indulged in conversation with the hosts about Chris’s gender journey. Chris’s tragic childhood story was revealed during this conversation.
When Chris was a kid, he was into the idea of wearing his sister’s clothes and even applying makeup. At that point, he thought this was just a kid’s thing, nothing serious. However, as time passed, he understood that it was not ‘just a phase’. Therefore, when he was 14, he tried to make friends over the Internet. Friends who would understand his situation and with whom he could talk.

However, something tragic took place. Chris said, “I got friends over the internet. I had friends that like were very supportive of me. Obviously, they didn’t understand because we were all kids and you know we were understanding.
“I had a friend who was um she was like my best girlfriend growing up during that time. And we would send messages. And then one day, her mom took her phone and read through her phone and uh found out everything about me and you know a parent being a parent felt the need to like disclose that information and it had you know a lot of falling out and that that drove me back into the closet really hard.”
During the interview, Chris even talked about people who were a hindrance during his gender journey. However, he also explained that many people were very supportive.
Chris Tyson had more than one instance where he was pushed back into the closet
Unfortunately for Chris, his best friend’s mother noticing their chat was not a standalone incident. He further explained his situation saying, “[I’ve had it] happen a couple of times where it’s like, I’ll discover myself, I start
to come out, and then something happens and I’ll go back in. And for me, the process has always been like an ebb and flow a back and forth [thing].”
Informed consent HRT saved my and many others’ lives. The hurdles gnc people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me. Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies https://t.co/xvQjjx7cIB
