- The latest iPhone Pro are equipped with powerful chips to run new AAA titles.
Over the years phones have improved a lot in multiple sectors. The availability of powerful smartphones has enabled gaming companies to pay attention to mobile gaming. The latest iPhones, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will be able to support AAA titles.
The Pro models of the iPhones are equipped with A 17pro chip, the first time Apple has used Pro for a phone chip before. Reportedly, the chips are pushing performance close to an Apple M1 chip. The latest processors can handle everyday tasks with ease. The new chip also has enough headroom to let developers take advantage of the powerhouse.
Supported titles in iPhone 15 Pro
Apple’s first 3-nanometer chip is extremely powerful and capable of taking on high-requirement applications. Apple is working with gaming industry giants to bring AAA titles to their latest pro models. The iPhone 15 Pro currently supports games like Resident Evil 4 Remake, and Resident Evil Village already available for users to download and play. More popular games like The Division Resurgence and Assassin’s Creed Mirage are also under works to make them playable for iPhones.
The AAA games playable on iPhone 15 Pro are not lowered or cut-down versions of the real game. The games are playable with the same textures and quality as a Sony PlayStation console. The mobile phone is capable of working the highly demanding titles natively. The tech reviewer on YouTube ‘MKBHD’, talks about the phone’s ability to perform gaming tasks.
He said, “I ran some benchmarks it’s literally approaching M1 chip levels of synthetic benchmark scores, and compared to last year it’s 10-20% more powerful on both the CPU and the GPU, which is very respectable.”
He also added, “They literally launched exclusive games on the iPhone, that rea like Resident Evil: Village, and Assassin’s Creed but not on cut down mobile versions, these are literally the same versions with the same assets and same textures and everything from the PlayStation version, cause it literally is the same version.”
The new A 17 pro chip is efficient enough to run PlayStation games natively. However, only a few developers have taken advantage of the phone’s chipset. More game developers could use the phone’s hardware to make a market around the mobile gaming world. This new Pro models have made it possible to carry a Console around in your pocket, because of how powerful the new chips are.
Currently, only the Pro models are supported to run the AAA titles. The entry-level 15 still shares the hardware from last year’s iPhone 14 Pro, the A 16. The technology and gaming industry has evolved a lot over the years. With powerful chips like A 17 pro, Game developers can bring more games to phones. The chips are only going to better going forward, let us hope the game choices will increase too.
