Draymond Green recently made a statement regarding the Minnesota Timberwolves and their current situation. NBA fans will be aware that Draymond is a veteran star for the Golden State Warriors. Although his team’s season has already come to an end, Green continues to remain relevant in the basketball community due to his podcast and other connections with the media.
At this point in time, the Minnesota Timberwolves have matched up against the Dallas Mavericks for the Western Conference Finals. Despite crushing the Phoenix Suns and eliminating the defending NBA champions, the Timberwolves are currently in an 0-2 deficit and are in danger of facing a quick elimination at the hands of the Mavericks.
Draymond Green compares the Timberwolves’ current predicament to the Nuggets
Given that the Minnesota Timberwolves finished the regular season with a better record than the Dallas Mavericks, Anthony Edwards and his squad had a homecourt advantage for the first 2 games of this series. However, they ended up losing both those games and are in a 0-2 deficit with the series shifting venues to Dallas.
Although the Timberwolves are a team that should not be underestimated, Draymond Green did just that and made a statement indicating that the Timberwolves have no chance of winning the next 2 games in Dallas and potentially forcing a Game 7. Draymond Green’s claims that the Timberwolves would not be able to replicate what the Nuggets did may have some basis given the difference in experience and expectations.

Before this series between the Mavericks and Timberwolves began, there were very few NBA experts who believed that the Mavs would win even one let alone two of their road games in Minnesota. Therefore, one could argue that the Timberwolves should be able to do the same. However, Minnesota is dealing with issues that need to be resolved in order for them to make a comeback in this series.
Anthony Edwards has been struggling to score over the past few games
In order for the Minnesota Timberwolves to win 1 or 2 road games in Dallas, they will undoubtedly need Anthony Edwards to break out of his scoring slump. Antman has been struggling offensively over the past few games in contrast to his impressive start to the ongoing playoffs.
The Timberwolves will also need Karl-Anthony Towns to elevate his level of play. Both Edwards and KAT are the best offensive players on the Timberwolves along with Jaden McDaniels, who has proven himself to be quite a good player in these playoffs. All 3 of them will have to elevate their play in order to keep Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and the rest of the Mavs at bay. Fans are left wondering how this series will unfold.
