Daniel Jones is a quarterback who plays for the National Football League (NFL) team, the New York Giants. Jones played college football for the Duke University. He was picked up by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft as the sixth overall pick.

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll refuses to answer questions regarding Daniel Jones’ future in the season
After the initial reports, New York Giants Brian Daboll was confident that it wasn’t a long term injury for Daniel Jones. Daboll mentioned that they were ‘optimistic‘ about Jones’ condition in a virtual press conference. He felt that the recovery was in the right direction and Jones was feeling better.
“I’d say we’re optimistic,” Daboll said. “He’s feeling better today, so think he’s moving in the right direction. See where he is, obviously, when he comes back on Wednesday. But he doesn’t feel terrible today.”

However the report now from Brian Daboll is contradictory to what he had said previously. Daboll is not very sure if Jones will be returning before the end of the season. When asked if Jones’ season was over, Daboll didn’t give a clear answer. He kept mentioning that Jones was getting better but he can’t predict the future.
“I just say he’s getting better, and see where he is next week,” Daboll said. “He’s getting better. We’ll see where he is next week. I don’t have a crystal ball with injuries, but he is getting better and we’ll see where he is next week.”
In the absence of Daniel Jones, the New York Giants have looked towards Tyrod Taylor as their starting quarterback. Tyrod Taylor will be starting his third game in a row on Sunday as the Giants take on the New York Jets. They won their last game against the Washington Commanders 14-7.
