UFC 301 took place over the weekend in Brazil. However, as is the case on some occasions, UFC President Dana White was among the few notable absentees for the event. That said, he will have wished that he went to Brazil instead after what he had to put with at The Roast of Tom Brady.
For those unaware, Netflix’s latest special, The Roast of Tom Brady featured some of the most renowned personalities taking light-hearted yet brutal digs at NFL legend Tom Brady. As such, the all-star roast was hosted by Kevin Hart and featured the likes of Bert Kreischer, Kim Kardashian, Andrew Schulz, Jeff Ross, Rob Gronkowski, Tony Hinchcliffe, and many many more. Among the innumerable personalities mentioned was Dana White.
Notably, the UFC head honcho was accompanied by bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley and BMF champion Max Holloway. However, being a part of the audience did not mean that Dana or fellow UFC fighters would be spared from any roasting. That said, what ended up happening was far better than what anybody may have imagined.
Dana White got brutally roasted by Andrew Schulz and Jeff Ross
Known for his comedy specials and the FLAGRANT podcast, Schulz also happens to be a massive combat sports buff. As such, he has sat down with numerous fighters and even Joe Rogan, with whom he shares a deep friendship. That said, none of these things stopped him from delivering the ‘nastiest 10-8 in UFC history’ to an unsuspecting Dana White.
Initially, what was a joke about Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, and Wes Welker, ended up finishing on the UFC President. As Andrew Schulz roasted Tom Brady, one of his jokes targeted his fellow American football wide receivers, where he said:

“Gronkowski, Edelman, Welker. That’s not a receiving core, that’s a law firm. And with that divorce coming up, you’re gonna f***ing need them.”
Then for the kicker, Schulz added:
“Oh, so that’s why Dana’s here, so you can learn how to f*ck a Brazilian out of half their purse”
All things considered, taking into account the context of the matter, it was perhaps one of the most well-thought-out, wittiest, and well-delivered jokes on the night. Referring to Brady’s divorce from Brazilian ex-wife and model Gisele Bundchen, Schulz managed to rope in Brady’s fellow teammates and Dana White, who has often been criticized for underpaying his fighters.
However, that was not the end of Dana White’s despair as comedian and ‘Roast Master General’ Jeff Ross also had a nasty surprise for him.

“Sup Dana, look at this! Talk about a legend in the room. Pull back [the camera], I wanna show that he (White) brought the whole cast of ‘Queer Eye’. Dana, who are these guys? Are they neutered? What the f**k is going on here? The sign said no pets. I love you Dana, you’re like Michael Vick but with human beings.”
In another well-thought-out jab at the UFC CEO, Ross compared Dana to the infamous Michael Vick, an American former football quarterback who played in the NFL for 13 seasons. That said, in 2007, Vick pleaded guilty to charges of running an illegal dogfighting ring, thus connecting the pets and being in the fight business part.
What did Dana White have to say at the Tom Brady roast?
Naturally, like most of the people present there, UFC President Dana White also got his turn on the mic to roast Tom Brady. Whilst most people might not be aware, Dana is well connected to the NFL legend, owing to the fact that his cousin, Sean Shelby happens to be one of Dana’s top lieutenants and matchmakers. As a result, Tom Brady reportedly also has a stake in the UFC himself.
However, that didn’t keep him from digging into Brady, after a small lash out at Netflix for giving him only 60 seconds to shine.
“Tom, you played for the Patriots for so long, that I was actually starting to feel like you were from Boston. Then I saw you run and I was like, no, he’s definitely from San Francisco.”

However, the best bit from his segment was definitely what he closed out with. After a quick shout-out to Sean O’Malley and Max Holloway for attending alongside him, White shifted his focus to Brady once again:
“Tom, you would have been a great fighter. You’re already a master of the ground and pound. That’s what you call ‘coffee dates’ with your boyfriend, Alex Guerrero.”
For those unaware, Guerrero happens to be Brady’s TB12 business partner. Thus, keeping with the theme of his previous roast, Dana White further hinted at some more fruity business brewing between Tom Brady and Alex Guerrero. All in all, many found Dana’s bit to be quite humorous and creative. Seeing that the UFC chief already has a history of trying stand-up comedy, one could sense that he already had a feel for the game.
