Unexpectedly, a few days prior to the recently revealed Counter-Strike 2, a select group of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive gamers were given access to the beta version of the game. Recently, one of the players of the beta version leaked the game files giving a peep to others as to the updates of the new game.
This game leaked by the beta participant also brought out an interesting fact about Counter-strike 2. The game leak revealed that the game can be played offline.
How to play CS2 offline?
It has now been confirmed that Counter-Strike 2 can be played using AI. Gamers will need to utilize a Steam emulator like Goldberg’s or anything comparable to make it work. This method is different from playing the game on practice mode.
Bots are player characters that are controlled by AI and take the place of actual players. Through the AI development done by Gearbox Software and Turtle Rock Studios, they were primarily introduced via PODbot (Ping of Death) for Counter-Strike and made official in Counter-Strike: Condition Zero.
An offline game can be launched to explore the new maps and get a feel of them. A few casual matches can also be played in the offline mode to get oriented to the game. However, entering Premier without first familiarizing with them is not a good idea and is likely to result in the loss of that crucial CS Rating.
To play Counter-Strike 2 offline with bots, the following steps must be followed:
- Search for github.com/CS2-OOF-LV/CS2Installer and click on the link.
- once this link is opened, click on CS2 installer.rar
- this folder has three files in it
- extract the files and then go to CS2 installer.
- Steam should be kept open at the side
- once the files are extracted to CS2 installer, click on Start Game(English).bat
- the game will load up after this
LAN is also another method for playing offline. The entire network is deemed offline when there is no ping issue and everyone can congregate in one location (such as during CS:GO tournaments).
Additionally, maps that have been previously downloaded from the internet can be used offline to practice jumping and movement, setting a new crosshair, and practicing aiming. Simply conduct a map search in the Steam workshop to locate aim/jump practice maps.
