One of the prelims in UFC 300 is revealed as Cody Brundage will take on Bo Nickal. The middleweight contender Cody Brundage made his amateur debut in 2017. His first MMA career began when Cody Brundage compiled a 4-2 record before turning professional in 2019. He accomplished the Middleweight and Light heavyweight Championships in LOC. He has also earned the UFC Fight of the Night award twice.
Bo Nickal is a former NCAA Champion and holds the unleashing record of 5-0-0, which includes 3 submissions and 2 knockouts with no loss. The middleweight prodigy could live up to expectations, as he has fine wrestling maneuvers. Bo’s wrestling background could be a main asset for his fight in the future, while his all-rounded ability also includes a ground game.
However, it has been confirmed that Bo Nickal will face Cody Brundage in the prelims. Cody Brundage holds a professional record of 10-5-0. Cody Brundage could pose threats to Bo Nickal, as Brundage is one of the most talented and skilled wrestlers. With his grappling skills and ground skills, it might be a huge setback to Nickal’s defense. Brundage can also possess the victory through KO, as he has also attained a few of his victories through KO’s. He also secures the striking defense as well as the takedown defense.
As of UFC 300, Brundage can go under the skin of Nickal. His fighting sets of skills determine whether he can land his punch accurately with the blend of takedowns and striking power. One thing that makes Brundage more capable is the advantage of having more experience compared to Bo Nickal.

Bo Nickal’s comment on UFC 300
In a recent interview on The Joe Rogan Experience, Bo Nickal shared his thoughts on fighting in the UFC 300.“No opponent yet, but I’m going to fight at UFC 300,” Nickal said. “I’m fired up. That’s going to be fun. My goal for this next fight is whoever they give me. I’m still on my first contract, so I kind of want to fight this out and then see as it goes. I have two left, so it was four”.
Bo Nickal also confessed that he would like to fight this fight and then the next. He would like to get somebody outside the rankings. Then he would at least get one more in 2024 since he has four fights in his contract. Then after that, he would fight a ranked guy, since he is expecting a ranked guy in his third fight next year.
He added further, “There’s a lot of good guys, but I like where I’m at. I feel like I’m a tough matchup for any of these guys, and they all want to fight me now, because I’m the worst that I’ll be. You’ll hear some of these guys talk about me and they want to fight me now and I’m like, ‘That’s smart, because where I’m at right now is not where I’m going to be where I’m at in six months, where I’m going to be at in a year”.
As Nickal is looking for his next challenge, he calls for trouble for the next middleweight fighters. Bo Nickal’s views depict how determined he is to fight against his next competitor. He is genuinely looking for his ranking to boost, as his target will be a journey to reach a high-ranking competitor.
