Breece Maelik Hall, more popularly known as Breece Hall, is a running back who plays for the National Football League (NFL) team, the New York Jets. He played college football for the Iowa State Cyclones football team (Iowa State University). Hall was selected by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft as the 36th overall pick.
Breece Hall started off his early days playing for Wichita Northwest High School. He received first-team All-Metro and first-team All-State honors during his time there. He recorded 4269 rushing yards and 65 rushing touchdowns as well.
Breece Hall took the place of starting running back for Iowa State after David Montgomery (who currently plays for the Detroit Lions) left the school. He was impressive in his freshman and sophomore seasons and received first-team All-Big 12, second-team All-Big 12, and Offensive Player of the Year honors.
He won the Unanimous All-American in 2020, a true indication of his talent. Hall’s junior season was even better, as he recorded 1,472 rushing yards and 23 rushing touchdowns, along with 302 receiving yards. He was named the Consensus All-American at the end of 2021.
He finished his college career after featuring in 36 games, in which he recorded 3,941 rushing yards and 50 rushing touchdowns. Along with this, he also had 734 receiving yards for 82 receptions and 6 receiving touchdowns. Confident of his abilities, Breece Hall decided to skip his senior year and was nominated for the 2022 NFL Draft.
