After much speculations and many fan theories, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is all set to lock horns with boxing legend Tyson Fury in a boxing match on October 28th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
There was a long existing banter on social media between these two giants of combat sports and finally a fight between them has been finalized. Ngannou was so interested in boxing against Fury that he even let go of his UFC contract as Dana White was not happy with Ngannou playing around with boxing matches while being signed with the company.
Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou will fight on Oct. 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, sources told ESPN.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman didn’t respond to a text message asking if Fury’s heavyweight title will be on the line. The rules and number of rounds are unclear at this time. pic.twitter.com/shxhaqvjt8

However, now that the match-up is confirmed, let us have a look at the differences between the two fighters to have a better understanding of their weaknesses and strengths at least on paper.
Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou: Height and Weight Difference
Fury is easily the tallest of the two as he is 6.9ft and weighs 277 lbs. Francis, on the other hand, stands at 6’4. During his fighting days in the UFC, Ngannou has mostly fought around 265 lbs.
There is not much difference in reach as Fury has a strong reach of 85 inches and Francis Ngannou also almost matches him by 83 inches.
Fury, 34, has fought a total of 34 times and is yet to lose a match in his professional career. His only draw came against Deontay Wilder in 2018. His boxing record stands at 33-0-1. (Via File TV)
The Predator was the most dangerous fighter when he left UFC. His record of 17-3 in UFC has been no less than amazing. The 36-year old is currently signed with the PFL.
Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou Net Worth Comparison
Both the heavyweight titans fight in different forms of combat sports and their pay differ hugely. For instance, when Ngannou fought with Ciryl Gane to defend his UFC heavyweight title, he took home $600,000. Tyson Fury on the other hand last fought Deontay Wilder to get paid a humongous amount of $30 Million. So, clearly, one would get an idea why Ngannou is so willing to contend against Fury.
According to Forbes, the two time boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has an estimated net worth of $62 Million.
Francis Ngannou, on the other hand, has a net worth around $7 Million. For sure, the fight would help Ngannou a lot to add some millions in the above number.
It is not easy to predict the winner of a fight between two champions but one might argue that because it is a boxing match, Tyson Fury will have a upper hand on this one.
However, one thing is for sure that whatever the outcome may be, the fans will have an absolute treat to watch on Oct 28 as two modern day legends of the fight game will hit the boxing ring against each other.
