In ‘The Battle of the Baddest,’ Francis Ngannou surprised the world by knocking down Tyson Fury. Despite Fury being widely regarded as the clear favorite prior to the bout, Ngannou’s impressive display resulted in a contentious split decision that gained widespread backing from the combat sports community.
Joe Rogan, the UFC commentator and host of the JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) podcast, was outspoken about the questionable judging and expressed his endorsement of Ngannou’s performance.
The bout between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou showcased the unexpected skill and power exhibited by ‘The Predator’. In the third round, he delivered a powerful left hook that sent the champion, Fury, to the canvas. Although the ‘Gypsy King’ managed to get back on his feet, he remained cautious for the remainder of the fight, mindful of Ngannou’s formidable attacks.
Despite the non-title nature of the bout, Ngannou‘s performance proved his critics wrong, and numerous fans within the combat sports community deemed the decision loss unjust, believing Ngannou had done sufficient to secure victory. Joe Rogan also strongly criticized one of the judges involved in the fight, condemning their “outrageous” scorecard.
Now, Rogan has raised another allegation against WBC champion Fury on his podcast. In a recent episode with UFC legend Daniel Cormier, Rogan opined that Fury might have used an illegal elbow against Ngannou.
“I guess maybe it also could be his throwing an elbow. But it’s not like he doesn’t know how to throw it. He knows how to box. You don’t think so much about showing him how to throw elbows,” said Joe Rogan. While DC tried his best to convince Rogan that the elbow was a pure mistake, the podcaster was not ready to believe otherwise.
Joe Rogan and Tyson Fury’s beef
Tyson Fury harbors a grievance against Joe Rogan. The WBC champion has been a prominent figure in the combat sports community. A controversy was sparked by his reaction to a segment on Rogan’s widely followed podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.
This response reignited a simmering debate surrounding Tyson Fury and UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. During the segment, Rogan boldly asserted that Jones would emerge victorious if he and Fury were confined in a room with only one allowed to leave.

Joe Rogan’s remarks elicited a vulgar response from the ‘Gypsy King’, sparking an intense exchange of words between Fury and Jones. The debate even made the fans excited when news spread about a fight between Jones and Fury, however, that never materialized.
