Logan Paul and KSI have made quite the splash in 2023. Be it with the success of their brainchild, PRIME Hydration, or their boxing shenanigans. However, according to some, a lot of what the PRIME co-owners do is seemingly pre-meditated or ‘staged’.
Ahead of their respective boxing matches on the MF&DAZN Prime Card, there were a lot of theatrics involved. As such, it has also become somewhat of a recurring theme with their media appearances, like the WWE. Although some may say that there is nothing wrong with that, their recent actions are much more controversial.

On November 10, the two co-owners started a 48-hour contest wherein two 24-karat gold PRIME bottles would be encased in an elaborate entrapment. The two bottles would be in London and New York, only accessible via a unique six-digit code. However, as is the catch, the bottles would be melted inside the encasement if no one was able to guess the correct number within the stipulated time.
In the end, a young boy was able to win the gold PRIME bottle in the UK. However, at the same time, the gold bottle in the United States was melted down within the aforementioned casing. Whilst it was a heartwarming moment and a great spectacle, to say the least, there were some left a little unconvinced by the entire ordeal.
Did Logan Paul and KSI handpick the winner of the gold PRIME?
For the most part, the challenge was designed to commemorate the 1 billion mark reached by PRIME worldwide. A monumental achievement considering their limited availability and time on the market, the $500,000 gold bottle challenge was seen as a way of celebrating the same. Labeled as a publicity stunt, it is not the first time the PRIME owners have gotten the public involved.
Previously, during a trip to Copenhagen, the two YouTubers had their audience pelt the bottles at them. In the controversy and media coverage surrounding that, Logan Paul and KSI received a lot of attention. Since then, they have been trying to conjure up newer means of garnering attention every time. Similarly, they have also made a lot of noise by signing up top-level professional athletes from the UFC, Premier League, NFL, and more.
As such, according to the popular YouTube channel ‘The Food Theorists‘, the gold PRIME bottle challenge was also ‘staged’. Firstly, the $500,000 bottle was undervalued, being worth $650,000 (approx.) in reality. Next, there was the debate about the actual winner. Although his identity has not been revealed, evidence suggests that he should not have been eligible to participate in the first place. According to the rules, only participants aged 13 or older would be allowed.
Notably, participants aged 13-16 would require a guardian to accompany them as well. With that said the eventual winner of the bottle was clearly much younger than 13, which many people have started to take notice of. At the same time, some suggest he was simply attempting at the behest of his mother. All things considered, do you believe the challenge was legitimate? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
