Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is in the final stages of his preparation for his boxing debut against Tyson Fury. The bout happens to be one of the most anticipated MMA-boxing crossovers and promises a war between two of the baddest men on the planet. Yet, Francis does not fully trust his opponent.
During his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, the Cameroonian fighter claimed that Fury is very tricky in the ring. Ngannou believes that the 35-year-old cheats by tampering with his gloves. To further back his claims ‘The Predator‘ used Fury’s fight against Deontay Wilder as an example where his gloves flopped a lot.
Although the British fighter has faced similar allegations in the past, Joe Rogan believes otherwise. The UFC color commentator believes the allegations are not convincing enough as the video proof happens to be in slow motion. According to Joe, Fury’s gloves go all over the place only in slow motion and the real-time footage says otherwise.

“In slow motion, it looks like his glove is flopping all over the place. But that’s just cause it’s in slow motion. When you watch him boxing he flicks, flicks, flicks and then he drops a big punch,” said Rogan.
Additionally, Rogan also called out everyone who believes Fury’s tampers with his gloves. “His glove’s attached, you don’t know what the f**k you’re talking about. After he does this ( flicks his wrist ), he does this ( closes his wrist) and there’s no way he’s doing this if his glove’s not attached,” added Joe.
Despite their minor dispute in the past, the standup comedian came to Fury’s rescue. Yet, Ngannou is highly doubtful of Tyson’s intentions. He is also a bit puzzzled to say the least after the announcement of ‘The Gypsy King’s’ fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
Francis Ngannou perplexed after Tyson Fury vs Oleksander Usyk fight announcement
Despite being involved in a huge crossover fight against Francis Ngannou, Tyson Fury has agreed to the biggest fight in heavyweight boxing. The 35-year-old fighter has signed to fight Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title in Saudi Arabia. Although no official date is mentioned, the fight will either take place on December 23 or early 2024.
The fight announcement with Usyk completely overshadows Fury’s fight with Francis making it seem like a warmup match. Additionally, the British boxer and his father do not seem to be acknowledging the former UFC champion’s skill as they rule out the possibility of severe damage.
The Cameroonian fighter also seems to be taken aback by the heavyweight champion’s move. The 17-3 MMA fighter cannot understand how the 6 foot nine boxer makes a quick turnaround after their fight on October 28. Additionally, Francis also believes that his opponent will need a medical suspension after facing him in the ring.
I don’t know what’s the minimum medical suspension in boxing but I really don’t understand how Tyson can fight in December after what’s going to happen on 10/28 🤔#FuryNgannou

“I don’t know what’s the minimum medical suspension in boxing but I really don’t understand how Tyson can fight in December after what’s going to happen on 10/28,” tweeted Francis.
While the Fury’s seem to undermine Francis going into their bout, Ngannou is hellbent on proving everyone wrong. He is also being trained by the legend Mike Tyson, so Ngannou might have end up surprising everyone. Do you think Tyson Fury will make easy work of Francis Ngannou?
