Jake Paul seems to have found his next opponent in an accomplished professional boxer across the world – Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat. In a surprising turn of events, Goyat challenged Paul to a fight and the American responded swiftly. It is starting to look like we will have a Paul vs Goyat bout soon. Goyat was born on November 11, 1991, in Karnal, Haryana, India. In 2006, Goyat embarked on his boxing journey by starting to train at the Army sports institute. He was destined for glory in the sport as in 2008 he won a gold medal in a Youth National Tournament. In the same year, he won a bronze medal in the Youth CommonWealth Games.

The Mike Tyson fan went on to achieve great things for his nation in his upcoming years. He won the WBC Asian champion in 2015, 2016, and 2017. He was the first Indian to break into the WBC rankings. In 2017, he even won the WBC Asia Boxer of the Year award.
Goyat’s biggest break could have been his scheduled bout against former world champion Amir Khan. The Indian was set to fight the British boxer in Saudi Arabia in 2019 but suffered a serious car accident a month before the fight.

Through an Instagram Reel posted on his account, Goyat called out Paul for a fight. Goyat gave the fight an India vs America angle which was not enjoyed by fans. However, he also received extraordinary support from many who saw it as an opportunity to showcase India’s boxing prowess.

Goyat shared in a statement, “Challenging Jake Paul is more than a personal pursuit; it is a mission to showcase the strength and prowess of Indian boxers worldwide. Stepping into the ring with Jake is an opportunity to make a resounding statement for boxing enthusiasts globally.”
Surprisingly, Paul was prompt in his reply. The YouTuber-turned-boxer stated “Anytime, anyplace,” in Hindi. Further, he commented, “Brother you too small. Walking around at 150 lbs? Maybe I tie one arm behind my back?”
Later, on the same Reel, Paul commented again in Hindi. He explained that it should not be taken as India vs America. He urged the fans to tell Goyat to stop with that narrative. Paul also wished everyone a happy new year.
Goyat shared a new Reel and started calling Jake Paul, ‘Fake Paul’. He said, “Do you know Jake Paul accepted my challenge? Oh sorry, I meant to say ‘Fake Paul’.”

Goyat referred to Paul’s comments on his previous Reel and said, “You’ll tie your one arm to fight me? You, your brother, your whole clan, And I’ll tie my both hands and you’ll won’t be able to touch me… I will beat you, I will beat you in Puerto Rico… [Asks Indians to comment on MVP and Betr posts] Tell them to send the contract, I’m ready.”
Jake Paul seems to be heavily invested in this fight. He has posted about it on his own social media accounts as well.

Paul took to his Instagram Stories to post the Reels that were posted on Goyat’s account. On his Story, he wrote, “Please make this happen,” and tagged Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).

Goyat also pursued MVP with a similar want. MVP, on the other hand, commented on Goyat’s Reel. They wrote, “We have reached out to start discussions. Please check DM.”
Paul must be getting an enormous number of call-outs considering the money involved in his previous fights. Goyat’s call-outs have been answered and it seems that Paul vs Goyat is on the horizon.
