Tyson Fury is considered one of the best heavyweight boxers of this generation. He has beaten some of the best fighters, including Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora. However, he is now set to take on his toughest challenge in undefeated Oleksandr Usyk. During the press conference, Fury went all out on Usyk with his verbal jabs.
However, he had to apologize for stealing a quote from one of the greatest boxers of all time. While trash-talking with Usyk, ‘The Gypsy King’ used a very famous line by Muhammad Ali. “You can never beat me if you beat me in your dreams you better wake up and apologize,” said Tyson Fury. However, he quickly apologized for stealing from Ali by saying, “I stole that from Ali by the way, sorry“.
This quote was used by Muhammad Ali during an interview with Cathal O’Shannon in July 1972. When Cathal asked Ali if men ever tried to spar or box with him, he used this infamous quote to address the situation.
Furthermore, Tyson Fury was very aggressive during the press conference, as he constantly took shots at Usyk by calling him a “rabbit” and a “sausage“. On the other hand, Oleksandr Usyk remained calm as he promised to speak inside the boxing ring.

Furthermore, the two undefeated heavyweights were scheduled to fight in early 2023, but the match was delayed as both parties were unable to reach an agreement. Tyson claimed that the delay was due to Usyk’s team trying to get a rematch added to the contract. However, the Ukrainian fighter and his team denied these claims and blamed the other party for the delay.
