However, Callum proved to be no match in front of Beterbiev in a performance that has been highly praised by Joe Rogan.

In a match that was almost completely dominated by Beterbiev, Smith was knocked out in the seventh round. Reacting to Beterbiev’s performance, Rogan wrote, “This man drags people to hell like no other.” He further pointed out that the Russian-Canadian fighter is the only person to have ever floored Smith.

Rogan also went on to state that Artur Beterbiev should be given some “super fights” before he decides to retire. Lastly, the UFC commentator admitted that people should recognize how extraordinary and terrifying Beterbiev’s fighting skills are. Interestingly, it was Beterbiev’s 20th win via knockout in as many matches as the Dagestan-based fighter continues to maintain his 100% record.

Following his win against Callum Smith, Artur Beterbiev is most likely to face Dmitry Bivol in his next fight. Beterbiev currently holds the IBF, WBC, and WBO titles since 2017, 2019, and 2022, respectively. The only belt missing is the WBA Championship title, which is currently held by Bivol. While the fight is yet to be confirmed, Beterbiev is raring to fight the Russian fighter and attempt to clinch the missing fourth belt.
Artur Beterbiev believes he still has a long way to go
Meanwhile, despite Joe Rogan’s high words of praise for Artur Beterbiev, the latter feels he still has a long way to go. The boxing world has been left stunned by Beterbiev’s supreme skills and, of course, his 100% record. During an interview, the Russian-Canadian boxer revealed his thoughts on his career so far. Beterbiev’s humble and down-to-earth words left several people rather surprised.
He said, “I feel I’m not there yet.” He further stated that he believes he still hasn’t achieved the dream of being a good boxer, and therefore, he will continue to work hard to achieve his dream. Beterbiev also once admitted that his two boxing idols are none other than the legendary Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. However, the 38-year-old admitted that watching the Olympics gives him even more motivation than watching Ali or Tyson.
