Popular social media influencer and podcast host Logan Paul is all set to make his comeback in boxing against MMA fighter Dillon Danis on October 14. The latter is a longtime friend and training partner of one of the biggest names in the world of sports, Conor McGregor.
‘The Notorious‘ was ringside for Anthony Joshua vs. Robert Helenius and told Matchroom Boxing that he would be training Danis for his debut inside the boxing ring against Paul. McGregor has obviously got some experience when it comes to boxing, as he fought with one of the greatest names in boxing, Floyd Mayweather, in 2017 and did manage to put up a good show despite losing in the 10th round.

The Irishman called out Logan Paul for backtracking and took no time to give his prediction for the match-up. “Dillon will win for sure,” McGregor told Matchroom Boxing. “They’re already backtracking right now. They woke an animal.” He further added that, having known Danis for years, he will surely train and guide his longtime friend.
In his Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul stated that Dillon Danis will have to pay $100,000 if he withdraws from the fight for a non-legitimate reason. He added that a doctor of their choice will verify the injury if he states a medical reason. In this context, McGregor added, “He tried to pull a bill on us if we don’t show up. we’re gonna see. we’re gonna come at him with a bill if he don’t show up,”
The WWE star Logan Paul looked least bothered by all of this as he took to Instagram to mock Conor McGregor’s coaching abilities by pointing out Conor’s poor run as a coach at TUF 31 and even tagged the former UFC champion in that.
Conor McGregor’s history as a coach
Being one of the most successful and popular MMA fighters of all time, Conor McGregor struggled as a coach. His team’s performance at TUF 31 is being judged as the worst in the history of the show. McGregor was set to make an unwanted losing streak record, but his teammate Rico DiSciullo came to his rescue to give McGregor his first win in the tournament, which came in the 8th episode.
The show has not yet ended, so we will have to wait to see if McGregor and his team can deliver some final moments of shock. This is not the first time he is coaching, as he was also featured at TUF 22 against the legendary Urijah Faber. Yes, McGregor could not emerge victorious, as Team Faber won the contest, claiming fighters in both the lightweight and featherweight divisions. However, unlike this season, Conor’s team did have a lot of success early on.
McGregor, being one of the greatest talkers in the game, did manage to motivate his team against Faber’s fighters, but at TUF 31, even his pep-talks are not doing any good. So what are your thoughts on the matter? Let us know in the comments down below.
