Nate Diaz will make his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, this weekend. The former UFC fighter will make his first appearance in combat sports ever since fighting out of his UFC contract.
Diaz has called his outing against Jake Paul a one-and-done fight, showing no further interest in taking this further than it has already come. The rivalry between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz stems from Paul’s repeated trash talk over the years. And now, just a week ahead of the fight, Paul argues Diaz is not doing enough to promote the fight.
Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul PPV buys prediction
39-year-old Nate Diaz maintains he has no interest in trash-talking with Jake Paul. We expect things to get heated in the coming week. However, the Stockton Slugger is not keen on doing any antics that approve of Jake Paul’s way of promoting the fight.
“I don’t need to act like it’s … I don’t talk a bunch of s— like he wants to do, I don’t want to stay and talk s— and go back and forth. He said something about me at the press conference and I’m like, I wasn’t there for no argument. I didn’t even want to go to no press conference to argue with nobody. Like, if we’re gonna argue, we’re gonna fight. So lets just stay the f— away from each other until the fight. Pardon my language.” Diaz opines.
Earlier, Jake Paul stressed how Diaz was more vocal before signing the agreement and has remained tight-lipped ever since the fight was announced to the world. Diaz and Paul had brief back-and-forths throughout last year. Less than three months ago, Diaz made headlines after he publicly choked out Logan Paul’s lookalike.
“He talked a lot more s—t to me before we signed up to fight. So, he’s kind of being a b—ch in that sense. I expected more out of him, and I expected him to carry that gangster attitude and to not take my insults. But he’s pretty much rolled over like a b—ch and has been quite boring, which pisses me off. But I’m used to carrying these promotions. It’s no different in this one.” Paul said.
The former UFC fighter no-showed a press conference and openly criticized the fight’s promotion. Now, openly rejecting the idea of smash talk with Jake Paul only shows how Diaz intends to promote the fight. Those who want to watch him compete and “whoop” Jake Paul will watch the fight, and for Nate Diaz, that’s about it.
What is the PPV price for Paul vs. Diaz?
Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz will cost American viewers $59.99 USD for the DAZN PPV. Paul has been one of the biggest names in boxing for more than a couple of years now, doing great business as a representative of the sport.

The YouTuber-turned-professional boxer will be looking to break more records in the biggest fight of his boxing career. So for Paul to be disappointed in Nate Diaz for not promoting the fight seems justified.
